Boot lickers incoming in 3...2...1...

It was a horrible accident and I remember watching clips of Hamilton being interviewed when the wreck happened. He couldn’t take his eyes off the screen and pretty much ignored the interviewer, he knew it was bad and you could see his concern.

“This is pointless, it’s ruining a perfectly good tractor!” - James May probably

Yeah it’s pretty cool that he isn’t hated for his success (like other drivers across the pond). Maybe because he always seems so calm and classy?

I had some buffering issues with my ESPN stream that I haven’t had with any of the other F1 races this year too. At least you only missed parts of a mediocre race rather than a future classic

Now playing

So a Merc 1-2 followed by Max in 3rd and everyone else 3+ laps down or in a barrier. Hmmm....

RIP to your inbox. Again...

And instructed the strategists on how to do the calculation! Seb is a driver, mechanic (finding the loose parts issue at Silverstone), detective (for years at Ferrari), and strategist (Hungary and now Spain)! Next week he’ll hop out and change his own tires

Max also had pointless race, where he was on pace to challenge for the win or at least 2nd. So if you eliminate that, Max is still ahead 😉

The biggest difference is the lack of adaptive dampers and an LSD. I think I saw somewhere that the shifter is tuned differently (probably spring rates) but you could get the Acuity fully adjustable shifter and eliminate that difference.

I've been saying that for a while. We need to get over the "nuclear energy is scary!" stigma and actually push into solving the issues with nuclear energy instead of screwing around with everything else. Not saying to completely abandon other green energy but nuclear needs to come back to the forefront.

Yes but they were also concerned about the wear on Max’s tires too. They even found 10 cuts in the front left when they looked at them! So there was no guarantee his didn’t have the same dramatic destruction if he pushed on them.

I think that’s really the only thing that would need to change, don’t have such a weak bottom layer that is so easy to destroy once all the grip is gone.

RBR didn’t throw away a victory, they went with their preset plan of pitting late for the fastest lap. No one knew Lewis’s tire was going to blow with less than a whole lap left.

Agreed. And if you can get heated cloth seat, you found a winner!

Didn't they also fast track the Explorer which led to an amazingly sloppy launch with build quality issues?

It’s one of the lowest selling models Honda offers so it makes sense that it is the one to go. The Civic Hatch is stellar, the HR-V is lifted and the whole segment the Fit is in barely sells, with small profit margins. The sum of the class (from numbers available) is less than half the sales of the Civic.

The HR-V is a pretty solid vehicle for what people actually want. But it’s just soooo slow (by modern standards). The 1.5T would be a welcomed upgrade.

New cost. Getting into the “but I can buy a used twin turbo v8 X for Y dollars” is a silly argument. For driver entertainment, an Si Fit would be way better than almost anything on the market.

Even if they didn’t want to use the Type R name, an Si version of everything would be wonderful. A Fit with the 1.5T would blow away everything under $40k. Not sure how they would do a performance version of the Odyssey/Pilot/Passport/Ridgeline since they already have the biggest engine Honda makes. But everything
