There was a new NSX and S2000 in the works before the recession. I think a rebirth of the NSX was slated for 2010-2011 and the S2ooo not too far after that.

Saw it at Mid-Ohio last year, couldn’t help a smile every time that thing went flying by. There’s something hilariously entertaining to see and hear it in all of its massive glory.
Besides the stupid background music, the different camera angles and commentary are pretty sweet.
While hybrids get a lot of hate (usually in the form of the Prius), I think that’s the way we have to go. Fully electric vehicles are way off in terms of infrastructure and public perception (range anxiety), where as the range extending hybrids can work well without needing much fuel at all.
The more diversity, the merrier. It helps attract more support to the sport, makes the racing more interesting and can bring in some cool people too
I’ve noticed that too. That’s part of the reason why I’m such a big IMSA fan now, the drivers are super cool people who love racing. That and CTSCC is always hilariously fun to watch
It’s perfect. One of my friends has a Wrangler and a mildly lifted 5.9 Grand Cherokee, so I make all of these comments to him whenever I can. In his defense he actually takes both of them off roading whenever he can. But it’s still fun to make fun of him
