While him being a sexist/racist is disqualifying for most sane people, there are a lot of people who, through no fault of their own (geography, social circle) fail to recognize the dog whistling throughout the campaign and don’t understand the experience of many women and minority groups right now.

I’m just going by real world examples. I just had this conversation with a group of Italians and they were very convincing regarding the benefits of our two party system.
