That, and the crops.

Yes.
Or is it? Yes, it is.

I watched Mad Max: Fury Road for the first time this Monday.

As someone who started primary school in England in 1979, I related immediately to the first series of "Look Around You". I also loved "Tomorrow's World" as a kid too, so didn't mind the shift.

You must. Also "Look Around You" (referenced in the article) is another brilliant Serafinowicz show.

Ahem, they are presented by BARRY SCOTT! He's even shoutier than Brian Blessed, but lacks the latter's rich voice.

I watched it at the cinema, and bought it on VHS - which I watched once.
I've had no desire to re-visit it, but may do so if I can find a VHS machine.

Aww, now I'm going to have to buy it again…

Those inspirations were great - one of the reasons that "A Christmas Carol" endures and gets adapted so much is that it brilliantly depicts the contrasts between the type of Christmas different people experience.

I wouldn't want it all to myself.

I'll be right at your shoulder.

I love "Scrooged", but Mrs periscopes isn't as big a fan.

We are absolutely 100% a "Muppet Christmas Carol" family. No doubt.

That's how I pronounce it out loud.
That causes a huge amount of confusion because I live in the UK, where very few people have seen this movie.

I have a niece who is seven years old - she says the funniest things, and it is a real struggle to keep from laughing. The laughing just encourages her.

The really stupid thing is that the number of times that I was approached by girls was quite high.
I only ever believed them when they went through an intermediary because I'd be embarrassed by a direct approach. I had extremely low self-esteem.

Wetherspoons pubs vary so much in quality for a national freezer-to-fryer chain.
The beer's always good though.

I'm another from those ranks in my teenage years, although I grew into myself physically and emotionally at about 20. Instead of doubting whether a girl would like me, I knew that she would not.

We want the Last Starfighter prequel - The Penultimate Starfighter!

Must watch "Withnail and I" again.
