Congrats on the new car (I love getting a new car).
I hope your recovery is speedy.

Jools always reminds me of:

Nobody else needs your mom, because they've all already had her.

Slightly relevant to '95 pop culture: the first rule of Street Countdown is… that you really must try and tell as many people as possible about it. It's a rather fun game and the more people you tell about it the better.

It's one of those sentiments that I think can be partly put down to a fin de siecle feeling.

I didn't get to see it until it was being reviewed on TV Club Classic here - it never really made it onto the radar in the UK. But it was brilliant.

Different Class was the year's best album for me. I still play it regularly now.

Heat was brilliant in the cinema. The bank-job exit scene needs a big screen to do it justice.

Wise…

That was an anthem of my Uni years.
Sadie Frost in the video, Jarvis' weird dance.
Just as long as it's not the Shatner spoken version.

I was given "Gladiator" with my first player, as a gift. The step up from VHS astounded me.

It used to exist in the UK too, but died in the recent recession.

My friend bought the first few seasons of "Friends" on VHS. I don't know why. They took up loads of space in his flat.

I suffer from it too - my in-laws are from Yorkshire and I'm from Wiltshire. Very different accents, but I will start talking with flattened vowels and dropping definite articles when I spend more than half a day with them.

I haven't seen any Mad men since the BBC stopped showing it. I miss it, but not enough to move to Sky.

Finland, Finland, Finland
The country where I want to be

The last time I went to a BK (1996), I found a pubic hair in my fries.
That said, I haven't been to a McDonald's in nearly the same amount of time.

Stephen Mangan is reliably funny (and, weirdly looks a lot like I did in a Frank N Furter wig).
Tamsin Greig is also brilliant - Black Books was stuffed with great performances, but she excelled.

Pfft, "studying".

If they said they did, I am not going to argue.
