I definitely share your fondness for Wodehouse. He's one of very few authors who make me laugh out loud on subsequent readings.

With so much of Wodehouse being very short-form, it's great fun just to pick up a book every now and then.
He was a genuine wordsmith of the highest order, and reading his books is even more rewarding than even the Stephen Fry and Hugh Laurie TV show (which was excellent in its own right, with those actors perfectly

Saying things like "going down to t'pub" when a real Yorkshireman would more likely say something like "going down [t]'pub", with the "t" being silent. It's small, but irritates.

I loved this as a kid, but have only seen it that once. I'm kind of scared to re-visit it in case it doesn't stand up.
