He is wildly popular in the UK (his shows sell out very quickly).
I like him, but he can grate from time-to-time. He does understand the technical aspects of comedy very well.

I was 16, and totally naive. The pub had it on special offer. My step-dad was an irresponsible cheapskate.
The stars were aligned.

Calm down, Li'l Britches

Drinking/puking thread.

I hope I didn't spoil th egame by putting the score up there^.

I second all that you say about meds being a tool to get you working on the problems - counselling and engaging with your personal support network (for me, that's my wife, siblings, and close friends) are what will help in the long run.

I can't believe Jesus called me a dick.

It sounds like you're a lot better sorted than the letter-writer. You seem to know what a physical relationship will mean for you. For some people it needs an emotional connection, for others it doesn't.

I think Dan pretty much nailed that one - "You’ll have to establish emotional compatibility with a woman you meet via Fetlife, or sexual compatibility with a woman you meet via real life."

No escape from spooky Mormon Hell dream

I agree wholeheartedly - this is a fundamental shift in the relationship, effectively giving the other party no options.

One thing I learnt from Parker and Stone is that Mormons "turn it off". He is repressing these things for his religion, and you are helping him discover himself.
You did brilliantly in being a good person.

I've just been put back on anti-depressants in the wake of a pretty major breakdown. I'm lucky in that my wife is a stunningly supportive woman who has masses of emotional strength.

Random fact: Neneh Cherry had a short-lived cookery programme on BBC2 in about 2007.

I saw the Highlanders game too (DVR recording, as I was at work). It was the pick of the Super Rugby that I saw, as the only other one was Cheetahs - Bulls.

They're worse than Hitler!

As usual, Charlie Brooker says it best:
