Seeing Seth Abramson “distinguish” himself as a Russia conspiracy guy has been hilarious, because prior to this he was noted (and sometimes criticized) in the creative writing community for putting together his own alternative rankings of MFA programs. It’s weird seeing a poet guy, who once lived on MFA blogs I looked

Rob Lowe certainly has a point, and anyone who’s read one of his books (they are great dishy beach reads for old Hollywood fans) knows he does hold great affection and an encyclopedic memory for Old Hollywood.

But identity doesn’t always matter. Jeffrey Tambor and Jared Leto were exceptional in their roles (and I can’t standeither of them), Cate Blanchett was Bob Dylan in I’m not there, Felicity Huffman was incredible in TransamericaI think rather than a ‘stay in your lane’ attitude towards diversity in casting (but which

So, that essentially creates a self-fulfilling prophecy. Productions won’t hire minority actors because pretty much all of them aren’t A-list. Minority actors can’t become A-list because A-list productions won’t hire them. Rinse and repeat.

I said this in another comment, but I’ll say it here again because I’m gray on Splinter:

I had to file something with the IRS for a work-study thing last week and I would be lying if I said I didn’t have to print out like eight billion copies of the form because my dyslexic brain decided that was high time for me to misspell my name EVERY SINGLE TIME

My cat knows a couple of tricks and seems to enjoy doing them so I don’t know where you get this. To teach a cat a trick you start with something that they seem inclined to do and then expand it into a trick. Like my cat will stand up when you say “up!” She used to stand up when we were about to feed her so I just

I do think success makes deciding one way or another easier, as it amplifies her wrestling with the question, gives it a platform. Obviously being successful gives her financial security (either for raising a child or planning some arrangement for when she can’t care for herself anymore). I would think it’s not
