How soon before he and JonTron are running Breitbart’s Gaming section?
Well that sucks. I liked his dynamic/chemistry with Greg. He was already doing his own thing with the “Colin Was Right” series, and his presence on their shows had shrunk due to the time and effort he was putting into that series. I wonder if they’re going to try and bring in someone else.
This man was so far up Mitt Romney’s ass in 2012 he was practically speaking out of the man’s mouth. Halperin stays doing this shit; it’s his default setting.
Mark Halperin spent a year normalizing Donald Trump every damn day on their Bloomberg/MSNBC afternoon gabfest (since cancelled). Then once Trump was elected, he announces (on Colbert) “this is as bad as the Great Depression, WWII and 9/11 all in one.” Asshole.
You’re right. And yet, all reality shows of this type, gay or straight, pretty much feature uniformly awful people—production companies go out of their way to find these kind of people, so it’s not an accident.
See, I am no perfect-body-worshipping gay myself, and I have never aspired to have a six pack. But the presence of these men and this show doesn’t make me feel remotely bad about myself or excluded from anything. I have a fulfilling social, family and professional life and I’m entirely content and confident with that.
This kind of thing triggers my eating-disorder and the need to have random sex to prove myself that I’m attractive enough. Like, I’m not saying it shouldn’t exist and that people can’t enjoy it (because those are my own personal problems and no one else’s) but there are more reasons that some people have for disliking…
My problem with this is that it reenforces gay body image ideals that are not obtainable for many people. I, a gay man, feel unwelcome, undesirable, unwanted, and judged in a place presented in this show.
The first time I saw that comic, I thought in my nearly 20 years of regularly working out/using the locker room I had never seen a guy blow dry his privates like that.
I totally appreciate the men writers taking over for International Women’s Day. This said, it seems to me to be odd that on International Women’s Day, on a feminist website, there are a spate of articles about what it is like to be a man, or a ‘mail ally’, or a gossip column (well-intended) that leaves all of the…
That is a disturbingly accurate cartoon.
no mention of old men balls...sad.
We’ll never really know that until we get voter participation above, say, 80%. Right now, less than a quarter of the population is deciding elections, and often out of misinformed fear.
Because our education system still says the Commies are bad, and there’s a taboo about teaching why or talking any deeper about it. “They were bad, now let’s move on to the Civil Rights Act of 1965...” It was a real complaint by a friend in 7th grade to our American Studies teacher. “WHY was it bad?” Not in a my dad…
Because most socialist policies are deeply unpopular and would result in massive electoral losses?
Also, why not just become Socialists, gang? Like, the GOP is actively courting literal Nazis; the taboo is broken in the younger generation. Democrats and the Democratic party (necessary to make the distinction) need to get hip to Marx or they will die, and they will deserve it.
Easter is a pagan fertility holiday. Rabbits and eggs are symbols of fertility. Then, The Church came along and co-opted it.
Why on Earth would someone think that that bunny costume is cute?
