I’m always accusing adaptations like this for not caring, so this actually does boost my confidence a little. 

Personally, I have no interest in his TMNT film, but nothing fills anyone with confidence if you take comments out of context like that.

I suspect that the trailer is making this look like a really different movie in a way that does it a disservice. Because it looks super saccharine, but the reviews are not only glowing, but suggest a far more interesting story.

i know it seems like the commentariat here are really down on this one, i’m really looking forward to it, particularly after how surprisingly hard west side story hit me.

Golf Story is a top 5 Switch game for me, it’s a pure delight. Sports Story looks like it’s going to be that turned up to 11. Can’t wait!

Golf Story is one of my favorite Switch games. Unless it’s definitely not your type of game style, you’ll love it. Good to play it now, because I imagine going from Sports Story to Golf Story would lead to disappointment in the original.

Taking quotes out of context is nothing new, but the extent to which these topics are chosen for how angering they’ll be, the snide tone of the articles, the way they’ll deliberately play…

I agree with all of that. The 2H weapons sucked outside of the spear, which at least gives you some additional range on your melee strikes. The clubs and hammers don’t give you nearly enough of a damage boost to make them truly worthwhile, and 1,000 times YES to what you said about the game wanting you to play with…

I also want more games about regular people being a small part of the puzzle. Like slice-of-life movies almost.

I guess my biggest complaint is the combat. The combat itself isn’t at all fun. Counters and blocks are difficult to time with some enemies when you don’t have a visual cue a la Spider-Man’s spider sense. If you don’t have a spear then enemies like Lizalfos are an absolute nightmare. There’s no slowdown mechanic when…
