Yes! Nighttime was especially pretty. Blood Island is my favorite locale in Curse. It’s so moody and atmospheric and creepy, and the way they use light throughout the island (lamps, fires, those tiki head string lights, the flowing lava) is so well-done.

What! They are?! Dang they buried that in their announcements, this is awesome!

Glaser: “just kidding, it’s mainly about sex, dating, and my vagina, because it’s been said by smart men on Reddit that those are the only things female comics discuss”

Yes! I immediately thought that as well when they mentioned they must “confront the darkness within themselves” (and it being set in Alaska of course doesn’t hurt).

Sounds like Wind River meets The Terror. Not a bad premise for a show if you ask me.

That’s totally fair. To be honest: my first introduction to the series was Curse so when I went back and played 1&2 I had a similar reaction to Guybrush with a beard haha. It didn’t “look right” to me! But I will say: the pixel art in MI:2 is freaking beautiful. I love that era for visuals (Day of the Tentacle, Sam

This is awesome! Been awhile since I’ve played Portal 2 so this may be worth the pick-up. Wish it had Portal: Still Alive as a part of it because I never played those extra maps, but I get why it won’t be included.

I love it, I don’t care. It looks vibrant and stylized and silly and fun. I’m excited.

I’m constantly reminded of how art is subjective, because I can’t for the life of me understand how anyone could not like The Curse of Monkey Island’s visual style. It’s so wonderfully painted and drawn and beautiful, but hey, maybe that’s just me!

Less detail? Then explain the owl!!

How’s the single-player experience? (Genuine question) I really don’t do multiplayer but would love something Fallout-y to sink my teeth into since I love the universe. Is there decent solo content that would keep me occupied for 30ish hours? I know they added a ton of NPCs but was also curious if you could turn off

That’s a great call. I used to have an XB1 and was thinking of getting an Xbox Series S with Game Pass because that was a great way to play and try new games, but I know Steam has crazy sales on games so that could be looking into to!

I only just got a Switch this year and have been loving the amount of indie games I’ve been able to get for pretty cheap in various sales, but I tell ya - I’ve only played BotW and Super Mario Odyssey because they were on Christmas sale when I got it. The barrier of entry to first-party Nintendo games is so high, even

Hey, $41.99 for a $59.99 game ain’t so bad!

Ah man, there was a quote from Alito saying something to the effect that “this NY law didn’t prevent the shooting in Buffalo” that really chilled me. It sounded just like a Fox News talking point. Like they’re so transparently politicizing everything and there’s nothing we can do.

It’s a worrying trend, especially as of late, how many articles on this site have turned into recaps and pull-quotes from interviews from the trades. I mean, I get it, but. Still worrying.

My favorite part of the Arkham games was traversing Arkham City as Batman, zipping over bridges and ledges and gliding across large swaths of the map so I could drop on unsuspecting goons and beat the crap out of them, zip out of there when things got dicey, and then scurry away out of sight and explore at my leisure,

I KNEW he was making all that stuff up!

Please give whoever invented this an award so that I can run onstage and slap them on live TV during the ceremony.

I’m more worried about the fact that I haven’t seen an Illumination film where I haven’t been completely dumbfounded and dismayed by the direction in which the story goes.
