I just think it's kind of stupid to compare their multiplayer experience when they're remotely different. Battlefield focuses on large scale vehicular combat while COD sticks to close quarters. It's that simple.

There's no way all of that stuff would fit on a 300 mb patch. I'm guessing most of it exists on the HDD, but the update cleans it up a bit/unlocks the functionality

It's a standalone game and requires neither. But if you're asking for the engine, I believe it's using a heavily modified version of the engine from Arma II. It's also using some code from Arma III.

So this still runs on Arma II and not on Arma III by the looks of it, or am I wrong ?
