I was just voicing my opinion. A non-official convention seems like a waste of money and time to hang out with 8 year olds screaming about diamonds with no dev panels, announcements. It'd be a place to spend money on overpriced merch that you can get cheaper (most likely).

Still, a minecraft convention sounds so neckbeardy or filled with children.

I hope it's cross-play so I can go travelling and still play (I'll just connect to my mumble server via phone).

They're leaning more toward that. Dean has said, on reddit, that he's being very very careful when he rights a dev blog and what he puts on it in order to control expectations.

I think he mentioned something along the lines of "We'll get it to release state before it hits PS4."

They've been thinking about RDR for forever. Although they came out and said "We wanna do it right if we do it on PC" which makes me super excited that this gen is around. An hd remake that hits both consoles will probably be the tits.

You realize Alpha is game-breaking bug fixes (that limit testing) and new features, right?

I never found that to be an issue. the most I ever get put back in recent memory was maybe a few seconds.

I'm at something like 300 hours and it's just alpha. If you're really burnt out on it for now, then I might recommend watching some of the experimental update threads on reddit as they're full of cool little finds and new stuff

I believe, and finding sources for this is hard, that they said they were thinking about it but had nothing solid.
