Just cause is really optimized. I assume it's a bit more performance heavy than singleplayer, but not by much.

imagine a much more refined gta iv online experience. on a much larger scale. with a much prettier art direction. Also your options are more open with that grapple hook.

from the footage it looks ok. not all the players are onscreen at once mind you. And Just cause doesn't render explosions more than a few hundred meters away.

You can get a controller and play like that. I respect your console preference, but if it's free and playable as non-vanilla with a much larger player base on PC, while still allowing you to play it with a controller, then I strongly urge you look in to it.

while I don't totally agree with young children playing violent games, at 15 he should be able to play anything. I was playing doom when i was 8, I was never restricted in what I played except for GTA for a while.

I'm gonna say that CoD 4 and this game look the exact same. Maybe not CoD 2

it just seems out of place compared to things like the "George Washington" etc. but this does take place in the semi-future.

MAG was so good/bad. I enjoyed it when I got to play a match, and it proved that with some refinement, large scale multiplayer can work on consoles

L4d2 doesn't harness anywhere near that much power to run. It's just a way of making a controlled testing environment

I played Crusader since I was a kid. I even have NO REGRET on my desk in front of me. Unfortunately it's too much of a hassle for me to get dosbox configured right to work it.

A good terror filled hour of crawling through villages and ducking when a jeep rumbles past.

once you learn the ropes it's good. I've got gear and a way to survive, but it wasn't easy. a lot of stealth and stress. Slow going too.
