We’ve had many many protests here in Philadelphia, and the police handle them similarly to what they do after huge games. They do a pretty good job here of keeping the peace without escalating things. Not sure what happened in Baltimore or anywhere else, but Philly PD does a pretty good job with this kind of stuff.

DC to Boston Regional rail line is convenient, fast and relatively inexpensive. I go from Philly to RI a couple times a month and it’s way better than driving or flying.

Look at the size of European countries and then look at the size of the United States. Do you see how it could be a little more complicated to put high speed rail in a place that big? I mean sure, Germany has great trains, but Germany is also the size of a single US state.

Probably just that one car. I travel the NE regional line often and it’s almost always sold out or close to it.
