first you have to mod the base game so it stops crashing then you mod it until it starts crashing again!

See, Bethesda? That’s what you get for reusing the same, old engine!

Now playing

When I was little I dreamed of playing a Star Wars game like this, but all I had was...

There’s a difference between “not perfect”, which is understandable, and “broken as shit because we totally phoned in the PC port”, which is what this game experienced.

Game went gold and was released, this wasn’t a god damn early access game. Facts, straighten them.

I’m fine with the idea, but calling it pre-release is the wrong way to go about it. Those aren’t pre-release reviews, those are release reviews. People paid for the game and what they got was marketed and advertised as the full complete finished product. Call them “first run” reviews or “pre-major patch” or something.

I’m in the UK, from London and have lived in the city all my life. Both main characters (Evie and Jacob) are voiced by Brits, as are a huge number of the NPCs, as evidenced by the vast number of regional accents in the game. If Graham Bell isn’t really voiced by a Scot, then it’s a bloody good impression. In fact, I

You never disappoint Stephen! At some point in the future the collected writings of Stephen Totilo on Assassins Creed is going to become a signature work of criticism. I’d buy the book today. And I should mention that I almost bought Rogue on the strength of your review alone.

There’ve been some very good Assassin’s Creeds in the last few years, including Rogue last year and Black Flag the year before. I wasn’t expecting much and am pleasantly surprised that reviewers are impressed with it. Ubi didn’t send me a review copy, so I had to wait along with most other AC gamers. Now don’t you

I thought AC was Totilo’s beat? I had gotten used to the way he described the consistent disappointment of each successive game while waxing poetic about why he couldn’t quit the series. It seems ... staggeringly unfair that he didn’t do the write up for the first game which apparently doesn’t suck almighty balls in

well, I’m glad it turned out alright and Bungie get on their feet again.. I always hate to see a big developer falls or worse gone into oblivion because some executives fucked up. Here’s hoping they’ll soon get into PC someday

You know, there is a mod for that. SkyComplet. A ingame To-Do List. Easy and only in your game.

It does not sound to me like they are “on their feet again”, seems their core problem remains....that they sold their soul to Activision for $500M, and are required to keep cranking out yearly releases of new content.

Play Borderlands.

Looks like no one read that you said ‘essentially’. Also seems no one knows the diffrence in the straight definition and legal definition.

A monopoly does not literally mean there is only one company in the market. Historically, a monopoly has been defined as having about 70% of the market, which I think Steam covers well going by the PC gaming market.

No no no no no. This is NOT the solution. This is taking something AWAY from the experience to appease corporate overlords. The solution is to fix the broken copyright system so that fair use is actually fair. Period.

they sold a gutted, shell of what could have been one of the best games ever. thats what they sold.
