Could be, but I'd be pretty surprised if they had time to re-record VO for the game when they're two and a half months from shipping.

THIS! I was playing this last night and (didn't even realize that it was Peter Dinkage) all I could think about was:
1) Who the hell is talking to me?
2) Why do they sound like they're about to fall asleep?
3) This HAS to be placeholder...right?

AWWWWWW. I saw that punch commin' a mile away. Didn't make the blow any softer though.

But does it have a goal? I mean I'm kinda excited for this game too, but will there be stuff to do besided 'exploring'? Will there be crafting stuff or will it get a story?

i'm sure worse has been said but as far as their publicly stated reason for the non-inclusion, i'm sorry but the gender equal rights brigade needs to sit this one out.

I'm all for choice and customization but if the team decided to not include female characters because it would save them time and money they could devote to making the game better, then people should cut them a break.

And the fact that this has now been upgraded to a "controversy" boggles my mind.

It makes me a little sad that this is going to be the tin can people beat on for the next few years when there are many more relevant issues in the gaming industry.

not just you. After seeing the tightness of Elite: Dangerous its obvious SC has a long way to go.

Looks amazing but i really like the fact that Elite, while less feature rich, is getting the basics done properly early on.

It doesn't look as good as I expected from almost $42mil of funding. That doesn't bother me though, what bothers me is how they delayed dogfighting 4 months. I feel like they are really trying to distract from lack of development by shoving videos and contests (Next great star ship) down our throat.

Now playing

It's gonna be really hard to choose between this and Elite Dangerous, but for now I am tilting more towards Elite...

Gonna say, so far i think Elite Dangerous looks way better. That may change, of course.

just me or did that look terrible?

Probably yes. They are saying to get the kinds of displays they really want / need instead of making do with whatever the mobile display industry could throw their way will cost $100's of millions. Now, they have the kind of money needed to get the engineering and manufacturing processes they really want in place

How about an Assassin's Creed game set in Japan, please? Maybe a bit sacrilegious, but you could set it during the time of Christian missionary efforts to covert Japanese citizens to the faith with Templar subterfuge in the background. Could offer an alternate explanation as to why Christianity, and by association the
