I believe you can almost never have too many backups! Hopefully time machine works, but if not, there’s insurance with having the manual backup also.

I’d get an external hard drive (it sounds like you already have one, since you have time machine running) and back up any folders manually to it that you care about. Normally that’d be Documents, Music, Pictures, Videos, Desktop if you keep important files on there (boooo). I did something similar to an old computer…
I used to use a safety razor, but received a Fusion ProGlide Power starter kit for Christmas last year. I don’t shave too much, so it’s lasted me a while, and the ease of having multiple blades vs 1 blade makes it worthwhile for me. I can use each cartridge for maybe 3-4 weeks, shaving 2x a week, and not worry about…

I’ve stuck some cash inbetween credit cards before, but this is for a mostly-card-paying individual. I rarely find myself in need of carrying cash around with me.

All I want in OS upgrades is stability and security patches. I remember when Snow Leopard was released and it’s primary focus was to speed up the previous Leopard release. That was the best OS X experience I’ve used to date.
I’m sure we would’ve heard about it if it was a widespread issue, because everybody would have $1000k bills. Guess you’re an unlucky customer in this case.
Wow, that’s some really poor programming and error checking to be off by 1000x...
Agreed. I’ve tried running NPVR, but it’s too complex for what it does. It has potential, but needs some streamlining.
I would, except I use Windows Media Center for a home DVR, and don’t trust the “workarounds” to install it on Windows 10. I’ve tried other products, but they all suck worse than WMC. Too bad Microsoft had to end its lifecycle :(
I just purchased http://www.amazon.com/Winix-U300-Fil… after reading the Sweethome’s original review and doing some more internet research. I liked it over the Coway (and BlueAir 203) because it has an “auto” setting (as does the Coway), it displays the air quality, has a remote, is energy star certified, the…
I use WMC also as a DVR with a HDHomeRunPrime, and want to always upgrade to the latest but can’t. Total bummer that Microsoft took out support for WMC.
I believe the August lock is just on the inside of the door, and works with the same key as is in there now. Your issue wouldn’t matter in that case, since nothing on the outside would change.
I just tried the Domino’s deal, but the code isn’t working for me. Slickdeals reported it dead last night :( http://slickdeals.net/f/8577818-get-…
