So it’s OK to blackmail people so long as you also donate to charity?

Tell it to the guys whose careers he ruined for trying to tell the truth.

The guy up until retirement had only spent money he earned from endorsements and saved every penny from his NFL contracts. He also would encourage his teammates to invest in 401ks even sitting down in the locker room to help them figure it out. Yeah, he’s a pretty cool guy.

The guy threatened the families of his team mates to keep them quiet about his doping. All considerations of the ethics of cheating aside, he’s an asshole.

That’s pretty much where I come down on this. It’s less about the cheating, more about the lawsuits and manipulation.

Honestly! I could *almost* buy the “it’s a dick move” if he put like, traffic cones or sawhorses around it, but the fact that he had access to and used a velvet rope is just so over the top ridiculous that it’s hard to believe there wouldn’t be some tongue-in-cheek self awareness there.

I think it’s ‘spicy’ and not entirely a ‘hot take.’ The Lance subject is all kinds of shades of grey.

i felt this way for a long time, and the cancer work will always hold a place. but lance legit tried to fuck up people’s lives for telling the truth, and thats the part i can’t let go anymore.

What’s the over/under on number of times Marshawn Lynch was called a “thug” by shithead fans, journalists and other racist malcontents during his NFL playing career?

Especially in the real world. That shit is hilarious.

This is another example to not believe the public persona players are often strapped with. We live in a world where for a decade Lance Armstrong was the good guy and Lynch was the malcontent. Just because someone despises the media does not make them a bad person. In Marshawn’s case it seems like the exact opposite.

Can we send this to every fucking reporter that called his character into question for the mortal sin of not talking to them at the Super Bowl?

So, I’m guessing he’s off on Beast Mode adventures or something, just enjoying life. But why doesn’t Seattle just pay him to come hang out once or twice a week. He obviously seems like the kind of guy who could help keep morale up.

Now playing

Dude is the best kind of beast on the kickball field, too.

How is that a counterpoint? That makes him even more awesome.

“Ya’ll need to work on your people skills.”

Counter-counterpoint: That’s hilarious and amazing.

This is good kinja. Thanks Barry.

“Beast Mode don’t cry.” (sniffling)
