I can’t even get that high on a standard trampoline... no idea how she does that with just a running start on a slightly bouncy floor. Oh, while initiating a wild spin that somehow puts her through the perfect number of rotations at landing.

Obviously electric cars do plenty well in the performance department... so the only bit you’d miss is the noise and smell? I’m sure someone can figure out how to connect the audio system to the accelerator so you get vroom vroom noises. Then just leave a gas soaked rag in the glove box and you’ll be right at home!

You jest, but I have known people who DD an F-350. To an office job.

This. I’ve met people who earn well above average, yet spend their life in financial turmoil due to overspending. Then there are people at the other end of the spectrum who don’t earn a lot, but spend within their means and live stable lives.

Yeah, seems people are just throwing the term crossover at anything that isn’t a sedan these days. The term crossover used to cover stuff that was between a hatchback and an SUV. Then people started calling small SUVs crossovers, and now ordinary hatchbacks are also crossovers.

Yeah, I see plenty of Truck Bros who like to accelerate hard from lights, or floor it when passing on the highway (not that I don’t do this occasionally in my car...). While improved aero and shutting down cylinders helps a lot with highway MPG, there’s no getting around the demands of F=ma when accelerating hard in a

Yeah, PreCheck lines really aren’t that fast anymore because everyone seems to have it. I’ve seen PreCheck lines longer than the normal line if I fly on a Monday morning for business.

Yeah, speaking as someone who has been there, education often doesn’t directly correlate with practical common sense. Our senior design class had plenty of people who could ace engineering classes, but were pretty clueless about actually building things with their hands.

If you want to leave at a particular time of day and don’t have a destination in mind, FlightsFrom.com is also a useful tool as it organizes its entire list based on departure times.

At 2:11, it looked like the car was scraping the track? Little white marks appeared on the track behind the car. I wonder if that’s common for cars this low, or if they have a suspension issue.

I visited about 7 years ago and it was crowded enough without a cruise ship present. Can’t imaging how bad it was with an extra few thousand people packed in.

Yeah, if it were actually 6" high I would maybe be on his side, but they look a lot shorter than that.

This. It’s incredibly easy to stay rich if you’re already rich. Aside from just being able hire smart people to help you earn money with your money, even a few modest investments made by the ultra-wealthy provides more than enough interest to live off of for life.

Love that “body panels strapped on with duct tape” paint scheme.

Agreed. VR CAD is getting pretty slick, but still has a looong way to go before it can beat out a traditional CAD power-user at a desktop with a space mouse and hot keys galore.

As an engineer fluent in a variety of CAD tools, I also find the “40hr” thing VERY hard to believe. Also, he’s a manager. Not really the person to make an appropriate benchmark for software tools.

Ford design manager Michael Smith told Roadshow that it took him 40 hours to create a vehicle rending, when normally such a rendering would require months of work.

Yeah, it literally looks like they put a skinny guy in a fuzzy blue suit and then built the CGI model off that. No idea why they attempted to give his body humanoid proportions.

Yeah with modern weaponry, such as cruise missiles that can hit a vehicle from 1000 miles away, tanks just don’t seem that relevant anymore. Also, modern surveillance equipment makes it pretty much impossible to sneak up on the enemy in a tank. Any enemy that isn’t just a pack of guerrilla fighters with AKs and RPGs

Yeah, same. Pretty much every other Uber I ride in is a Prius. When I make trips out west, the Uber/Lyft pickup areas are just a never ending stream of Priuses. (Or Priuii?? not sure what the plural is..)
