I like John Mayer's music, mostly - it's OK. I'd prefer RadioHead "Kid A" era complexity, or Sonic Youth's layers to Mayer's pop simplicity - reminds me of Tom Petty's straight up, obvious rhymes, etc. With a bit more nuance.
