I’m an NJ attorney and here in NJ they do even better. No judges are elected. They are all nominated by the Governor for an initial term of 10 years and the judge has to be renominates and approved after that initial term to gain full tenure. That means that the same Governor will general not be the person…
I’ve been screaming about this for the last year. I loved RBG. She was the best justice on the court in a generation, but her stubbornness and pride have put us in this horrific situation. There was no shortage of Op-Eds in 2009-2014, plus god only knows how many people behind the scenes urging her to retire while…
I am just going to say this but she should have retired in 2014 when the Dems still held the Senate and she knew she had end stage pancreatic cancer. She was an icon but that doesn’t mean she didn’t fuck us totally by not stepping down.
Yes. I live in Chicago, so snow is something I am used to.
Sadly yes, and it is missed.
I’ve had a Bolt for almost 3 years, and have taken it skiing and in the snow plenty in Colorado. As long as the tires are good (stock tires are decent until the tread gets low), it has done fine in the snow for what it is. Just don’t use L in the snow, as it tends to skid during full regen. The main problem I’ve had…
BaT gets a lot of submissions and rejects most of them. The ones they do accept are put on a waiting list and listed at a time when there is an appropriate number of similar cars up for auction (i.e. they wouldn’t list this if there were 3 more troopers going on at the same time). I suspect the seller has aspirations…
I hear it’s a perfectly fine commuter/appliance EV.
“1000 ft long”
Maybe next time when a car isn’t for you, don’t pretend that literally everyone else should be ashamed to drive it, and you won’t get so much heat.
Does The Herb play him enough for a Bolt?
If this track doesn’t get the nickname “The Big Dipper”, I’m gonna be disappointed in all of you.
The problem with the bolt isn’t that it’s an EV. It’s that it has a small hatchback form factor which is based on a car GM canceled outright.
GM: “It takes 50% discounts off our electric car to sell any, and even then they’re slow movers”
Bolt or no, being able to lease a car for three years for essentially $700 is crazy good. I’m now going to investigate these.
I thought exactly the same. Them my wife got one. I ended up getting one for myself the very next weekend. I still think it is dorky, but it was dirt cheap and it is a good, no, let me correct that. It is a perfect commuter car.
Well, the front seats aren’t great and the styling still looks like a Honda Fit, but it’s otherwise not a bad vehicle. At the right price, say 20k, I’m sure plenty of people will be less-critical about its perceived or actual shortcomings.
There’s a local dealer near me advertising a new Bolt (well, Bolts) for around 23k, which includes a $5k dealer discount on top of the factory and trade-in incentives, but does not include the Costco discount.
I hear it’s a perfectly fine commuter/appliance EV. And for almost half off the MSRP, it’ll should like electric hot cakes
