Also, I was just on the Battle of Midway page on Wikipedia today, and IIRC, in like the “impact” section, they talk about Japanese vs US carrier replacements post-battle, and they talk about carriers that were coming online during the war. The thing was, the article notes that by 1942, the US was actually 3 years into

I caught this elsewhere. Basically, the correct discount was to get like, 2 Whopper Jrs for $4, 2 Whoppers for $5, and 2 Double Whoppers for $6 I think. What happened was, on TOP of that, they were applying the “meal” discounts if you bought fries + drink, when those should have been regular price.

I would in my ‘03 Corolla, but I think the spindles(?) jammed up a couple years ago, because when I put the adapter in, it doesn’t turn, so ‘flips’ the tape direction like 2-3 times, then spits it back out.

I don’t have a preference on Kit Kats, but I like the ‘standard’ mint Oreos.

As someone who, when he was a teenager, managed to do something similar with a K car and a fire hydrant, it’s actually surprisingly quick, even at slow speeds (15-20mph)...

Don’t think they need to speculate? I noticed that his name was under one of the ones when it was in their new rotating stories deal in the upper left the other day.

There was one where the tornado had to solve the problems one time, and when he got it wrong, Mathman came out and ate HIM.

Conversely, since most cultures have at least intuitively applied some level equivalent to the more formal ones in Western dress code traditions, the latter’s versatile framework open to amalgamation of international and local customs, have influenced its competitiveness as international standard formality scale.

Something something, all chaps are assless, else they’d be pants, something something.

I’m not sure what it says about me that I’m almost relieved that crawlspace guy wasn’t some kind of supernatural/paranormal thing? (Especially with the cops able to follow up on the whole deal?) Creepy AF, and terrifying for Stugglingsuzy, though, I get. Yeeesh.

Well, software, firmware, whatever you want to call it, it’s not really in-depth, but it controlled the unit. And yeah, I assume it’s just due to being a totally different beast of a machine than the Wendy’s one.

I’ve commented multiple times upthread on the whole process, but I don’t know how it is now, but 20 years ago at McDonald’s... they WERE cleaned by hand every 4 weeks for food safety - nightly otherwise was a basic cleaning/wipedown of the exteriors, as the device would do a heat cycle overnight to kill bacteria, but

Worked at McDonald’s for 5 years in high school and college, about 20 years ago. The McDonald’s machine (which did both shakes AND ice cream) is a little different. On a daily basis, you didn’t have to do anything but wipe it down. No self-wash cycles, no draining mixes, etc.. It would go into a heat cycle to kill

I have to disagree. I worked at a McDonald’s back in the day, and was ‘lucky’ enough to be trained in how to clean the shake machine one day, and thus got stuck doing it multiple times.

Not sure if it still is, but the shake/ice cream machines 20 years ago when I worked for McD’s would go into a nightly heat cycle to kill bacteria at like 2am - which at the time, there weren’t 24-hour drive thrus, so it was fine. In college, I went through the drive thru at like 2:30am and tried to order a shake, and

So, not sure what they’re like now, but almost 20 years ago, the machines my McDonald’s had would require a thorough cleaning every 28 days. Like, the machine locks itself until it’s cleaned. You have to empty it, tossing the stuff that’s in it, take it all apart (not nearly as simply as what you had - the holding

Now playing

I’m not as familiar with Aaron’s work as some of the others, so I’ll wish him well, but I just had to share what I think is the only appropriate ‘goodbye’ for if David Tracy ever leaves (should start at 1:06, if not, skip to there):

My in-laws live in north-central MO, so there too, they swear by the Casey’s pizza in their tiny town. I’ve had it, it’s perfectly fine pizza, it’s not something I’m raving about like my wife and in-laws ;p
