I can’t find a definition of nutrient that agrees with your statement. Nowhere does it say you have to actually absorb the substance for it to be essential for life. I posted the definitions here which clearly put it in the nutrient category.

That’s very true about computer/gaming nerds tinkering with hardware and software. It’s a different kind of hands on training that doesn’t get enough credit. Building and breaking computers and gadgets seems like a lost art. My younger siblings and most his friends have no interest in taking a phone, console or…
For a good engineering school, 4.5 to 5 years is close to the average. Good on you for making it in 4, but most of the people at our firm that graduated in 4 years did not go to harder engineering colleges.
The GM stage 1 sensors and tune put it at 290HP and 340TQ and that’s a very conservative tune. Basically double the torque of the Toyobarus from a GM warrantied product.
Or Colorado. I haven’t been to places like Oregon and Washington enough to know how many Subarus are there.
Oh crap you brought the 1950s into the discussion. Now I know you have to be over the age of 50. Would you like to know what else kids learned in the 50s. They learned that whites were better than blacks. That smoking made you skinny. That drinking and driving would not get you put in jail. They also didn’t know how…
noun: nutrient; plural noun: nutrients
I’m a Civil P.E.. You are right about it being a weird mixture. I actually didn’t learn to be mechanically inclined till after college. Half our design team is pure book smart and the other half handy.
A vehicle not being used for it’s intended purpose? Unbelievable.
You are correct. Their first paragraph said nothing about using computers or video games. Their second paragraph followed that up by saying their kids were less awkward compared to kids that did. Generally we infer that to mean that his/her child has little to no technology access compared to their peers. If the OP…
As an engineer, that grew up addicted to video games, I detest your idea that kids working with their hands make the best engineers. It may seem that way, but a lot of the NASA engineers you are trying to pawn off on us, were probably super nerds and would have been video game nerds had you put a console in front of…
Read the very first post. The writer seemed to indicate that their child would be much more interesting by be a farmer than a gamer. I totally agree they should be doing both. I never said one way was better. I was merely making fun of the OP for his/ her one sided thought.
It was a joke kind of. I detest a starting post that says other people raise their kid incorrectly. Especially saying their kid is less awkward by not having lots of technology in their lives. All kids benefit differently. I mean yeah great your kid can fix a fence, but can’t can’t program a computer. Each kid learns…
God how I want to make a joke about how he will grow up to work a laborer job with no college education and make below average wages and likely be an alcoholic to cover up the pain from his lifestyle. Not to mention vote Republican to make up for his lack of pay. But i won’t go there.
I don’t think we could handle the number of articles that would be written for such an event.
Yep they are pretty amazing. Probably how an LNF set the FWD Nurburg record. Intake, Downpipe and Tune is where it’s at.
If you don’t beat on an LNF it will last several hundred thousand miles. If you want 250k miles out of it knock it back to 300whp and call it a day. I put 150k on one and it had great compression and only used half a quart of oil in 5,000 miles. Again, no point in a swap until the stock engine blows.
This isn’t a Miata or a Toyobaru. The LNF engine can make 350-400HP without that much work. No need to stuff an LS in there until the original engine blows. ZZP ZFR Turbo, E85, bolt ons and 400whp is possible.
Fiber is a nutrient.... It’s essential for human life. Which is by definition a nutrient.
I don’t know how much or if it’s measurable, but I was always told you do lose nutrients in the blender. I would think at a minimum you lose some of the fiber connections that your body would have had to break down itself. Which would mean that yes a blender is worse than a fresh banana. Someone tell me otherwise with…
