Are they that underused? Sure Maribeth Monroe plays an assistant, but I think her character's reactions to the boys club antics of Pearce and Larson have been some inspired work.

Hey look! The one person who agrees with him doesn't watch the show. Thanks for your valuable insight!

GOD DAMN IT FUCK THIS REVIEWER!!! Seriously AV Club?!?! I love your stuff, but this guy is just a hatchet artist. Every week it's the same tired crap. He complains jokes are too broad, congratulations genius, it's called farce! It's not satire, it's fucking farce! Let someone who isn't a senior English major in

No it didn't make him look weak. This crap happens all the time nowadays. Activists of all stripes have mastered the shout-down.

Ah, but the anti-civil liberties side, and therefore the pro-slavery side, is the government. So wouldn't really call them the Unionist side.

Not to be that guy or anything, but does it make any sense to anyone else for the heir to the secretive, uncolonized African nation of Wakanda be portrayed by a guy who is like a quarter white? Shouldn't he be Wesley Snipes black?

Transformers wasn't empty, it was full to the gills with shitty stupidity.

If we were going to show only exclusively good movies, I wouldn't start by cutting the Wachowskis. At least they try. Start with Michael Bay and work your way back.

What is your point here? That movie studios shouldn't fund Wachowski pictures (Sense8 was quite well received BTW) and should instead donate that money to feed the poor?

Being obnoxious has always been a significant part of Sherlock Holmes stories.

Fun and "empty blockbuster excesses" kind of go hand in hand, don't you think? There's nothing wrong with a great action set-piece of fight sequence, but they aren't exactly fulfilling art. I agree, very solid movies, but they didn't really capture the spirit of Sherlock Holmes and didn't really leave you thinking

Sherlock Holmes was fun, but RDJ kind of gave me Johnny Depp vibes throughout, and the complete lack of investigative work was jarring for a Sherlock movie. The BBC mini-movie-series (each one is what an hour and a half?) is way better.

You uncultured swine! They mean the 1932 classic The Mummy.

Glorious works of modern cinema?

Wait wait wait… people didn't like the Mummy and the Mummy 2?

Nice! I like Jeremy Clarkson, he's an equal opportunity asshole. I feel like he's insulted everything about America way more than any other country, besides. The Spanish are just more sensitive.

Oh, ok. Sorry for getting snippy. I thought this was some critique of the AV Club for trying to push a movie on us or something.

Could this be the start of the Segelsaince?

Maybe today's interview subject was interviewed because they liked the movie! But no it's clearly a corporate synergist plot!

Is this Russian literary critic of such importance it needs to be reblogged here?
