I cant give the first time that I drove as a terrifying experience because my parents let me sit on their laps and steer since I was 7-8 (private roads FTW). But I can tell you one of the first times I was terrified behind the wheel. It was back in 2006, when I first got my 2004 Mach 1 Mustang.

Hooray! I’m helpful!

Hmm. That’s odd. But then that’s also Nissan’s MO. Any ideas how to get the lower areas to light with the LEDs?

The photo of the back of the gauges shows at minimum, 4 bulbs, yet you replaced only 2 (leaving the old-style orange-ish bulbs at the fuel and temp gauges). May I ask why you only did 2 out of the 4 bulbs?

Mine as well and I’m now on a Buell S2

I always do my absolute best to stop and help people in trouble on the side of the road. I’ve bee the guy stuck so I try to help others too.

Well since I’m a Mustang Owner, I already am a few brain cells short. Thus I read your response (which was stacked with your actual comment to me) and thought they were BOTH directed at me. My apologies, I’ll put my cone hat back on and go sit on the stool in the corner. Carry on...

Its the Mach 1, so the 4.6DOHC motor. Essentially parts bin engineering, 01 Cobra bottom end, 03/04 Cobra heads w/o the supercharger.

Compact size? I’ve got a 2004 Mach 1 and it feels like a gigantic tank compared to my 240SX.

At least on my Mach 1 the hood scoop does something.

A few notes:

As a New Edge Mustang owner, I should not have an issue with the door vents...however, as a New Edge Mustang owner I have a borderline irrational hatred of fake vents located on or just after the rear door edge.

I’m on the fence because it’s a lot of money BUT it’s scary low mileage, and the granddaddy of the current Mustang Ecoboost. That means it has some real historical significance and may be a fine collector vehicle in the future. If I had the $12k+ to spend on a car I wouldn’t drive often, I’d be all over this. NP

That’s a very simple mistake to make. The KA24DET is just the engine designation for the Nissan 240SX (KA24DE) with a turbo applied.

I tried spec’ing out a Transit Connect as a fast family van. The only motor available is a 1.5L diesel. Not really the sporting character I as looking for...

Glad to see that it doesn’t have eleventybajillion horsepower, 300-350 is perfect in a true sports car. The family shot also has the styling growing on me a bit, though I am sad they did not take the time to integrate the A80 four element tail lights into the design,

Certain cars are not eligible for full coverage. Case in point my classic Nissan Convertible. Its age and rarity mean that insurance companies won’t offer Comprehensive/Full Coverage on the car. It is not even available at an exorbitant price.

Good to know! IIRC I was planning on having the system setup with a recirculating valve instead of a BOV, but had not determined if it would be a suck through/blow through MAF or if it would recirculate before/after the turbo. I did know that the vented air would be introduced behind the MAF so as not to be measured

The motor was built to survive 400hp with a realistic goal of 300-325 at the tires.

Wait, the new M4 GTS comes with ADI from factory? I was looking at this as a way to extend the life of a KA24DET I was building. I knew if it worked for WWII fighters (and current racing planes) it should help on the street.
