Trying to teach my Puerto Rican wife how to pronounce Susquehanna (Sus-Qwa-Hanna). It’s not going well.

For all you non-PA folks:
I’m a 35yo Engineer and ride a 95 S2 Thunderbolt. If I was in the market for a new bike, I’m not sure who I’d go with but it sure as hell wouldn’t be HD even though my old man is a service manager at a dealership.
Are we allowed motorcycle hills?
Kinja got me yesterday...You’re fine, it’s still readable.
I’m ok. I normally sleep on the floor of my kids’ bedroom. One of them has night terrors and needs daddy there when she wakes up. I keep a little mattress tucked under their bed just in case.
My wife is gonna kill me for forgetting to put this in the original post.
My worst inspection story? Well, that would probably be the first inspection on my 240SX Convertible.....yeah.....THAT 240SX Convertible. Gather ‘round newbies, its time to hear what an idiot I am.
Unsure because I’ve never seen the motor out of the car (soon to happen though) but did you look at the Ford 4.6 Modular DOHC like the Cobras and Mach 1? Also in that family are the Triton that part of its valvetrain to the DOCH Mach 1.
Some of the serious issues were behind the scenes with the engineering and prototypes. We called the whole thing “Faraday Fire-Drill” because it was always some alarm or another going off for rush on prototypes.
I personally know the engineer who made the prototypes for the battery disconnects in this car way back in the late 2000s (2008-2010 era). Complete and utter moron.
Just because no one is going to talk bad on the legendary S-Chassis.......
I’m gonna buck the trend here and propose a car that was a crap car in its second generation BUT that crappiness saved the Model....
We need a new version of the International Race of Champions. Stick the best drivers from all the motorsports series into identically prepped CUVs/eGTs/rental cars and let them loose on a Roval style course.
What I was trying to get across was either the guy panicked and had zero recall of his training/didn’t use the checklist, or just had atrocious training in general.
IIRC Mercury reacts with Aluminum pretty well. I’ve heard (possibly fake) stories of soldiers in WWII sneaking behind enemy lines with mercury paste and sandpaper. The story goes that the saboteurs would scratch away the surface paint and oxide layer on aircraft skins and smear the paste on. It creates a…
It took a bit of my training to get into the habit that pitch controls speed and throttle controls altitude in a landing situation. Its a hard intuition to kill that nose angle controls altitude when that just isn’t the case.
Holy crap, this is some 1990s era BS. None of the modern (MY2000+) cars we have have issues with frozen doors. My 1993 Nissan takes a hip slam to break the door free after a bad wet and cold (10deg) night but its also a sub-$3k, 30 year old, soft topped, death trap so crap like that is expected....

This is how Pennsylvania College of Technology does some of the Bachelor’s Engineering degrees. An Associate in Machine Tool Technology (essentially a ready to go CNC Operator) and a Bachelor in Manufacturing Engineering Technology (Project Lead/ Manufacturing Process Engineer/Etc) are the exact same course for the…
