Most amateur (and I use the term lightly since a lot of them are serious) drag racers have an automatic car. As you get faster and more power, there is just too much to handle with the car and too little time to handle it. There is also the advantage that you can set up the transmission to have a stall speed so…
You know if the body was a little better shape and the transmission had 3 pedals, this would be an incredible cars and coffee car....
This is the correct response.
So....does this mean not only will the Supra use BMW parts, but that repair costs and reliability will be BMW standard as well?
They look fairly flush, I’m assuming the cutout is to get the plastic to sit flush for low drag. Still, blech....
I hope so. I have a 2004 Mach 1 and I am NOT a fan of them there. I would love a set of Bullitt scoop deletes but they are so hard to find.
Only other option would be integrated into the rearview mirror like some cars in the Ford? and GM? lineup do.
Color me surprised if they are functional though. Looking at the parts render shows an opening in the door skin but NOT in the fender metal. So Mustang style intakes.....
I sincerely hope you’re right. I hate the design of some center screens.
Thank you for pointing that out! That would drive me nuts.
Can anyone explain what that thin little blackout strake in the door crease is for? If it’s just a chunk of plastic to enhance the body line there then, yuck, design business for the sake of being busy....
Hate to burst your bubble but, Torch mentioned in the article that:
240SX owners too, but thier jokes sometimes hit a wall.
A former instructor of mine at Pennsylvania College of Technology told me about the rotaries he built for Lycoming-Textron in the 80s. He said they were excellent aircraft engines because of you spin them at one speed and don't alter your throttle much , they are very fuel efficient.
Are Bikes allowed to enter the contest? I know they are allowed to enter RADwood.
If your on FB, PM me there and I’ll get your name to be sure you get a proper hat tip for submitting the idea.
Wow. Thank you! Do you mind if I use some of the information you posted in one of my Stupid Car Facts on The Car Dad (@stupidcarfact) on Facebook?
That blue widebody one is gorgeous...
