Sadly my wife, my 3yo daughter and my 1yo son dont quite have the willpower to be OK without A/C There are some days when it is too hot to have the top down and we have to rely on the 2-60 air conditioning which is barely enough to prevent a riot until we get home.

Fiero-based you say? I now need one with a Northstar or LS swap.....

A convertible without A/C doesn’t seem like that big of an annoyance until you have to live with one huh? The A/C in my 240SX was converted to R134 and it has never worked right since. It is almost unbearable to be in the car some days....

Thank you for the advice. The car is running but getting to the age it need a restoration. Paint is chipped, seat leather dried and cracking, and motor at 135,000 miles. Plus being a PA car....

Cool. Thank you. Its running now, just at the age that it needs restoration as the seats are tearing, the paint is poor, and the engine is at 135,000 miles.

With the Mach 1, restore it to stock, restore it how it was when I raced it (cat back, painted hood, Cobra bumper) or let the kids decide?

Father of 2 here (one 1yo and one 3yo). I’m on the fence about trying to hold onto my project cars (2004 Mach 1 Mustang and 1993 Nissan 240SX Convertible). Do you think these cars would be good things to keep as hand-me-downs as the kids get older?

Thank you! Finally someone here gets it. The car looks like a freaking UFO and it’s amazing!

Shame on you for not showing the rear end of the Cosmo, quite possibly one of the most beautiful automotive rear ends ever....

Fiat and coachbuilder Vignale did it first. Triumph had the first factory one though.

Got to:

No no no, a million times no.

Wasn’t sure. Engineering today has been difficult and sapped my brain....

Skee-on” is how he tried to pronounce Scion....

I ignore most but boy did he get on my nerves. See above, I’m an engineer with all the horrible stereotypical behaviors...sigh....

Not so young. Just an engineer. Its a mental disorder....

Yes it is my worst story. I avoid dealerships the best I can and most of my cars have been used private sales.

I wanted one of the 86 Twins because my 240SX was coming up on year 3 of being parked, not running, in my garage. I ended up replacing the entire engine wiring harness on the 240 and got it running.

Thank you, my head hurts now that I bashed it off my desk....
