I love my S2. It was almost a fight to get it out of storage at my dads house. Let me see if I can find a photo of the “Three Sisters” side by side.....
Millennial here too. What we need is Buell back. HD needs to tuck its tail and go crawling to Erik and BEG him to return. Kiss his feet if he asks but bring him and Buell American Motorcycles back.
The Sportster motors are actually a ton of fun in the right chassis. And by that I mean a tube frame with a half naked fiberglass covering. I should know, my old man and I collect S2 Thunderbolts. The torque that motor makes is an absolute joy on the roads. Its like a resto-mod muscle car. It can brake pretty well, it…
You know what, that’s not that bad of an idea if you can figure out where to put the batteries.
I could see this as being a good commuter for my 1.25 hr drive every morning. However....
So you’re saying name a new car the 420STD for the company’s new 2.0L 4-cyl sporty turbodiesel?
I had a plan for my first 240SX along similar lines. It was a coupe and was going to get the full Silvia treatment so I mocked it up in Forza a few times.I got so incredibly tired of Japanese cars painted like WWII USAAF aircraft. In fact I found it in FAR worse taste than what For Sweden is angry about.
So not an issue in this car, the seat belt actually fits better in this car than anything else I own. Granted I violate the usage rules by unclipping it to get in and out. Look up Nissan 204SX Convertible Seatbelt for an odd way to get around the “Automatic Seat Belt” requirement in the 90s
Add in the lack of a roof and questionable automatic seatbelts (in truth just two belts tried together at the buckle...Thanks ASC!!!) and yeah, pretty sure my motorcycle is safer.....
Can you explain the issue of overly reclined seats? I have a tiny car (Nissan 240SX) and I am 6'2" with a long torso so in order to fit in the car comfortably the seat has to be fairly well reclined. You have me paranoid now....
Given my 6'2" height and the fact that I like small cars, I DD a 240SX Vert after all, my seats are usually reclined at a steep enough angle that the headrest is useless in normal driving. That said, sometimes it is nice to just lean back and rest my head on it when I am sitting parked in traffic or crusing slowly on…
So I’m late to the party but I’ll throw in my thoughts.
I see “Tesla Autopilot” and remember these two know facts:
IIRC it was on the Fusion ST. I remember the videos which were pretty cool. I always wanted to take one for a test drive on roads here in PA and see how it smoothed out our lunar like roads...
First year Focus SFE with the EcoBoost 1.0L I-3 motor. Nav was not available.
3 Cylinder motor actually. It was the SFE Focus and I just wanted the motor because it’s so weird.
It was a then first year Focus SFE with the 1.0L 3cyl EcoBoost motor. Frankly I wanted it for the motor more than the fuel economy.
