Now, enthusiasts are climbing over themselves each time an unmolested S13 or S14 240SX pops up on Craigslist.

Not a huge supporter of “less than legal” racing but I do remember where people raced in my area.

I know I’m going to get killed for this but recently I’ve found myself missing the days of the bodykit, graphics, and neons from the early 2000s. You can only take so many stanced, murdered out, rat rod, drifters before you pine for the joy of a coherent design that at least every part looks like it’s from the same

Sadly, a move to a new town has taken me to far to track it on a regular basis. I really need to find a good HPDE event at a track somewhere. There is still 70-80% of this car’s capability I haven’t tapped.

Bassanni cat-ed X-Pipe, Bassanni Cat-back, and some impressive and in depth Ryno tuning by Ray McNew of McNew’s automotive in Dillsburg PA.

That is me at the local strip. The car had about 100 passes on it before life got in the way.

It is very hard. Especially if the red mist hits.

When it’s $600-800 to replace a set of tires and/or you’ve already almost lost your driver’s license, you start to tone it down.

Any V8 Mustang on worn tires will burn and slide. Even my 04 Mach 1 with “only” 295hp and 318tq at the rear tires is a handful on old tires if there is even a hint of moisture in the air. In fact, my daily commute has at least 2 “slide sections” that cannot be navigated without sliding at anything over 5 mph if there

I’m very very tempted to hunt down my first car. It’s a 2001 Focus ZX5 with a custom ATX and way too much engine work. I miss that car every day. The only thing that prevents me from tracking it down is the memory of how strung out it was. I know my wife would hate it.

No SR20 was planned. KA-T then later RB25DET or (pie in the sky) RB30DET. I built a KA-T but sold it with the red car.

My original goal was either Silvia nose or Rocket Bunny kit. I wanted it super clean though. I even went out and got a replacement glove box door and a set of JDM seats to refresh the interior.

This cursed little bugger. Bought it with what I thought was an unbalanced wheel. It shook like crazy at highway speeds. Drove it 8 hours home after my purchase.

I’m hoping my 3-month olds behavior on a 26 hour trip from PA to NE is an indication on her future long trip tolerance. She did fine until the last hour both ways. But then so did my wife too.

EVERY SINGLE TIME I take more than 9 months off from riding my Buell S2. I drop the bike on my first ride after a long time off, like clockwork. It makes zero sense because it happens even if I have been riding another bike the whole time. There is a reason the bike is named Eleanor....

Since people seem interested in the post. Here is the car with a high school age me next to it. Imagine how embarrassing it would be to stall this in traffic after it idled like a big block.

I know the bad cam choice feeling, in an automatic....

Mine says “I’m not afraid of speeding tickets, hate lane hogs, and really didn’t like the other colors offered...”

Poorly

The spoiler is actually a cupholder, no joke. The holes hold 2 large and one small soda from the concession stand at the track...
