How many Amouranth articles have you guys written at this point? Pretty sure the “Queen of Twitch” doesn’t need the extra exposure. Why not write some stuff about smaller streamers who could benefit instead?

It’s definitely pretty nuts how much mileage Capcom gets out of it while making some stellar looking and finely optimized games. RE8 runs like a dream and looks beautiful on my Steam Deck, and I’m really hoping that Capcom puts out a demo for this before the release so I can test DD2 on Deck as well.

Is the RE Engine the most versatile, optimized engine out there currently? RE/DMC 5/Monster Hunter Rise/Street Fighter 6 and now this, all visually varied games with seemingly solid performance.  Decima is up there too.  Anyway, this game looks awesome and is a day 1 buy for me.  Hopefully it doesn’t come out too

I’m not a streamer or influencer, and i found it boring not after playing all day for several weeks, but after less than 10 hours. And i’m not even a peripheral person to Bethesda games: I was a massive consumer of their stuff up to Oblivion.

Crickets

There were a few really difficult bosses but honestly i struggled more with just the standard "tough enemies/minibosses" found on each chapter. Honestly its a really good game, and its sacriligious of me to say but I enjoyed it more than bloodborne.

I hope you have played Oblivion and Morrowind, because as great as Skyrim is, its a watered down version of Bethesda’s greater days.

I easily lose a a week’s time every winter when I start a new character in Skyrim.  It’s sadly still one of the best RPGs available.

I recently did a new playthrough of Oblivion and its wild. Because it one sense Oblivion is janky and really rough in a lot of places. But on the other Bethesda really kinda stopped here in terms of advancement.

The textures are a lot sharper now, and the lighting is better, and animations have improved substantially.

The reality is that exploration is really the only selling point for Bethesda’s games. Their writing is bad, the quest design is bad, gameplay mechanics are dated, and the characters usually aren’t very interesting.

Skyrim and Fallout’s playability was measured in YEARS. There are still places and events that happen that I’m like...well off on another adventure. Starfield’ s playability was exactly 30 days. I liked the game, but it certainly doesn’t make me want to visit any planet if I don’t have to, and I don’t like travelling

Hahaha I just installed it in VR (Skyrim) because I bought the quest 3 and I’m hooked AGAIN. So yeah I get you.

I’m tired of excusing bad parenting when the easy answer is take the computer away. Set ground rules, if the child disobeys, follow up with consequences. No addictive advertising can survive a nonexistent computer. No computer means no playing, means responsible parenting.

And ultimately this goes back to personal responsibility, which is at the heart of any addiction.

I quite playing a year ago. Haven’t missed it. The thing that did me in was having to deal with every season requiring a new currency, new grind and only to get some cosmetics. It just got boring.

Gears 3 was peak Gears, just like Halo Reach was peak Halo. Both studios were at their best with their beloved IP, and both went out with a bang delivering the best they could in the franchise’s history. Gears 4 was okay, 5 was better, but still not as good as 3, and I doubt The Coalition could ever reach Gears 3

This year has been insane for games. There are still a ton of great games I have to finish.

The best thing about right now is that we’re near the end of the year and there’s no more huge games releasing til the end of the year..........unless I’m forgetting some...

Don’t forget Dave the Diver too!
