Not to mention that since this was not an accident but an act of arson, the insurance company will want to wait until all police reports are filed and since they have the perp will want to wait until resolution of the court case.

To all the idiots decrying the lack of comprehensive insurance and the need for the GoFundMe, you’re idiots. Insurance will never, NEVER, pay the cost of full replacement due to things like vehicle depreciation and liability decisions. That’s doubly true for a car that still has payments left on it. The payout goes

7 cars destroyed — $100,000+ probably  in damage.

The irony to your statement is that if a vehicle is the victim of arson, full coverage is still unlikely to cover the cost of the car, because most insurance companies will expect you to get the damages from the assailant who started the fire.

Just a friendly tip. Avoid saying “it’s not that expensive”. To some folks, it absolutely IS too expensive.

You understand there are levels of coverage? It sounds like she had basic liability, no comprehension or collision coverage.

Car insurance may be required but not full coverage. Not everyone can afford comprehensive coverage and may only be able to afford collision and liability.

Seeing IRA keeps making me think that the Irish were involved in a misinformation campaign too.

Um.. no. Just because other people use a tool badly, doesn’t mean I’m gonna give up that tool. I use Facebook to keep up with friends. That’s it.

“I’m from Fresno, Ace”

That’s why I love how Ed Brubaker and Warren Ellis threw shade at the Millar’s Captian America with Winter Soldier and Nextwave respectively.

Still one of my favourite MCU films. It gets the tone and style exactly right, and everyone involved really seems interested in giving it their best (even TLJ as General TLJ).

I do have hangups with how the MCU tries to ignore the fact that Hydra are Nazis or at the very least Nazi-adjacent.

I think one thing this movie deserves kudos for is how it goes out of its way to show that Steve Rogers isn’t basically this asshole:

Yeah - four days for most stuff seems overly conservative. I’ve definitely had stuff that had been stored for a week. That being said, it’s all about the sniff test. If it smells “off”, out it goes.

I have eaten leftovers up to around 10 days old (possibly more when I go to my parents), pizza that has sat out overnight without refrigeration, all without any serious harm, complications, or disastrous outcomes. I am curious as to why you throw things out after 4 days? I have never heard of this practice.

I’ll eat the rest of my turkey in sandwiches the rest of the week.  Do this every year since the wife won’t eat it after the first day.

For the weak.
