Some Catholic schools charge tuition based on parents’ income, like tithing.

I continue to wear it at times because I own it and it is a watch and I wear watches every day and if I have it and it works then I may as well rotate it in every once in awhile.

I get the being able to do “phone stuff” on my wrist business, but it just doesn’t seem worth it in my experience. I can’t be as accurate and efficient with my watch as I can with my phone.

It just seems like one more thing to purchase and maintain

“it’s a watch. I like all sorts of watches.” and “I tell people it’s really stupid and not to get one” are completely fucking incongruent. They’re directly contradictory.

That being said, if you look at the Apple Watch as simply a “TIMEPIECE”

Fewer. Fewer is the word you are looking for.

Because it’s a watch. I like all sorts of watches. New category of watch? I want to try it!

Not really. It’s something you have to decide that you want to try out and experience for yourself. Either you’re attracted to the idea or you don’t think it’s something you want or need. That’s entirely up to you.

They are very different, but they are also both watches. As such, I had to try out an Apple Watch (before I moved to iOS, I wanted a Moto 360).

I’ve been wearing watches for so long and long before cell phones existed, so pulling out my phone to check the time is not something I ever consider.

You didn’t ask me to convince you. I didn’t try to convince you.

So what you’re saying is I need to take a picture of them both side by side or you won’t believe me? “Pics or it didn’t happen”?

This is annoying. My 6s Plus has random shutdowns, but Apple tells me I’m not eligible for battery replacement.

Why? Can’t handle the fact that someone *gasp* doesn’t worship an Apple product?

For real, I sometimes do!

Clearly, you don’t wear watches. If you did, you would realize that using a cell phone as a personal timepiece cannot compare to the ease and utility of wearing a watch. It’s not something that you can understand unless you experience it yourself over time.

Because IT IS A WATCH. IT IS A TIMEPIECE—or did you forget because you’re too busy sending doodles and heartbeats to people? I wear and have worn watches for the past 30+ years because of the timekeeping function. You know, the whole purpose of watches in the first place.

Why? Are you into brand or luxury worship or something? I like all sorts of watches. I’ve been wearing them for over 30 years. You’re almost as likely to see me with a Swatch as you are to see me with a Rolex.

I mean, the movies look like commercials for a luxury brand...
