Everyone who knows pop music knows who Max Martin is. Max Martin is not the only person with songwriting credits on 1989. Taylor Swift has songwriting credits, too. In fact, some songs on 1989 she is given the only songwriting credit. She has songwriting credits on every song on 1989. Max Martin does not.

I’m not a fan of her music, but I’ll point out that Taylor Swift actually does write her songs.

My only problem with this whole thing is.. do we know Apple doesn’t pay the artists for songs listened to during a user’s trial period? We have never heard this before, as far as I know.

But are free iPhones given to the writers, producers, and unknown or lesser known artists? Those are all the people who are really affected by what Apple is doing.
