Guys, remember the law does word things in ways that neccessarily reflect our vernacular or emotions associated with said crime. "Criminal sexual conduct in the first degree" is a pretty big fucking deal in South Carolina. It's not like they wrote him a jaywalking ticket:

Mushrooms are like high school football and LSD is the NFL.

Nope, I've had it in many forms (honeys, treats, raw, etc.) and I spend the first two hours sweating and vomiting profusely. I love tripping, but shrooms just don't work for me.

And they make me sick as a dog. Pretty hard to have a good trip when you can't stop vomiting. I miss having a steady supply of LSD.

Yeah, my heart bleeds for poor Mary. No, what the city did to her was nothing like what Mary did to her employers and the people around her.

I saw the '89 version when it was released probably a dozen times in the theater, and many more on VHS. We were starved for Batman in a post The Dark Knight Returns world, and the film satisfied the craving.

You got it man, he played Bruce like a stunted rich boy, a man stuck at the age his parent's were killed, just a big 'boy' really. He played Batman like it was a psychosis given form. It was perfect, even if Burton's movies were not

The reason I love Keaton as Batman is because if you look at him as Bruce Wayne you would say to yourself, "No fucking way Bruce Wayne could be Batman". The others were all a little too good looking, a little too suave and a little too brooding. You could see them being batman.

The charge of hypocrisy is not unfounded. One of the defining principles of Greenpeace is preservation, and while you make a distinction between environment and man-made historical works of art, in this case, the distinction does not matter. The historical preservation depends on environmental preservation.

Admittedly I'm with you on the "Fuck Peta" thing.
They get a fuck you for the winter about 15 years ago where they burned something like 1500 fur coats.
I'm certain the droves of homeless folks freezing to death and losing fingers to frost-bite that winter were happy that some already long dead creatures got the viking

This came to mind...

"A fanatic is someone who redoubles his efforts when he has forgotten his aim. "

But intention is meaningless if it's contradicted by the actions.

Yes, I was responding to the first thing you posted. You clarified your point about "tactics" vs. "the cause" further down the thread, but I think you can take it for granted that most people here support "the cause." The OP's point was not "anybody who tries to help people sucks," it was that many of these

PETA semi-tacitly condones the murder of research scientists, and routinely compares meat-eating to the holocaust. Greenpeace has been caught falsifying scientific data, has damaged archaeological sites (see above), and seriously wounded loggers by putting metal spikes in trees. Yes - seriously, fuck these guys.

Oh, no I don't have issues with with most other organizations, Greenpeace just kinda made it personal when they caused a saw chain to explode and wrap around one of my friend's legs and almost cut their femoral artery.

You are the one reading things into his comment that are not there, not me. He said nothing about the rightness or wrongness of the causes of the specific groups he called out.

no, they also go into communities and clean out sweat shops (yay!) but then do no follow-up work to see that any of the people they've "rescued" find any other employment.

It's not even "We're sorry...."

Eh they harmed the environment on this one. They destroyed the land around the artifact that developed that way over centuries of no one interfering or even stepping foot on it.
