It seems to be suffering from too many visitors. Had to refresh it a dozen times before it even loaded.
Probably so it can post your results to your account like the similar apps do. You can just auth it, use it, and then de-auth it.
Exactly like a bot.
I was thinking a fungus like apple rust maybe.
I'm holding out for Day of Defeat 2. It'll never happen, but I'm still gonna hold out for it.
Or maybe it's a "just in case" version for the possibility that windows 8 goes the same way as vista and everyone hates it.
Considering the site violates Twitter's usage policies I don't think Twitter will be too keen on letting this site operate for too long.
It's just under heavy traffic. It's still up and running.
I love this article. This has been a pet peeve of mine since seeing the recent movies and television series. You've hit on every point I've made in conversations with friends about the show. I hate how it's claimed Sherlock is a sociopath when he so clearly isn't. In the books he's even less so.

I would agree except, as you put it yourself in the article - "Those are wise words—ignore these idiots."
I signed up for an account. I don't get it.
All I want from Popcap is a Plants Vs Zombies 2. Anything else they spend time and money on is a waste of time.
I'm not saying they don't. I'm just surprised the dig was in the io9 article rather than the Gawker one.
I can't help but think the article on the same topic posted on Gawker was meant for here. Absurd article title plus a dig at the Koch brothers in the io9 article? Appropriately titled article with a fair summarizing of the facts on the Gawker article? It's all topsy-turvy.
It's a poor analogy, but he makes a fair point. In reality, NOAA states that this is the hottest on record. His comment is likely in reference to the article title which fakes the absurd claim that this was the hottest July ever.
