Exactly! Aren’t the designers supposed to be up and comers? Why on earth would someone established enough to actually design for celebraties need to be on it? (Rhetorical, because I know the answer.)

I loved how the guest judges called her out on that! IIRC “She is not a plus size/curvy woman! She’s just not a size 0. This shouldn’t be so traumatizing for you!”

Aw hell no! HIPAA VIOLATION HIPAA VIOLATION HIPAA VIOLATION!!! I hope Aetna gets super huge fines over this (at minimum).

Are you guys all telling me I could have gotten away with my lie?!?

I was trying to blame my fart on my cat in the same way you can blame it on a dog, who definitely fart. I thought there was something different about the cat digestive system that meant they don't really fart in the same way. I've only personally witnessed my cat be gassy during difficult poos.

For this very reason I've completely avoided the 'new' installments of the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series because THAT WAS DOUGLAS ADAMS, DAMMIT!

I once blamed a fart on my cat. I was showing my soon-to-be-boyfriend into my room for a study date, and I let one slip as we walked into my room. I immediately blamed it on my cat, who was minding his own business conveniently close to me. (And we did study like good little physics geeks for an hour or so). A few

Maybe it's that she can't direct it.

I don't know. This video looks like the couple just plunked down a bunch of money for a production company to make an insanely expensive, glossy video. I like the action movie STD better, because it looks like something the couple and their group of friends did for fun because they all work in that industry so knew

Last time I was in NYC, I thought the restaurant prices were really expensive. So I didn't go to a restaurant and got a $1 slice of pizza instead. End of story.

Good point! Reading his post, I got the feeling he was one of the more immature straight-from-undergrad PhD students who haven't quite gotten how to act professional in the real world. And I say this as someone who, admittedly, made an ass of myself a fair amount and annoyed others at the start of my PhD before I

As an assertive, loud and female PhD student, I think I enjoy being one of the b-words that intimidate these folks. And I love that my mentor, also a woman, is a take-charge no-prisoners gets-things-done kind of academic I'm happy to aspire to.

As a loud, assertive woman starting out in academia, I think I like that I terrify these type. As long as "terrify" means that I intimidate them with my competency and willingness to stand up for myself.

Best of luck and fingers crossed for you! And to make you feel even better, she had my little sister at 40, both very healthy.

And thank YOU for sharing your experience. I see you as precisely where I'm likely to be in a decade. I'm 29 now, completely single, and not even considering kids for another decade (I need to get my career properly up and running, let alone meet someone and have some time together before kids). If I could afford it,

I thought we just heard meows instead of bleeps for all the swearing the calico was doing!

My cat carrier has a big metal door on top of it as well as the normal door in the front. I love the top, as it makes it easier to dump in an angry cat (as he can make himself not fit through the normal door) and makes it easier to get him out at the vet (although we always end up dissembling the carrier, because the

Don't forget the service fraternities - proud Alpha Phi Omega brother here (we're all brothers, whether male or female)!

I starred it for the GIF alone!

I'm a big Parks and Rec fan and so love Andy. But I recently caught season one episodes online via BBC iPlayer. And I had totally forgotten how much of a tool Andy was in the first season (and a little bit into the second). So definitely stick with the show. All the characters get better.
