Bahahhahaha, everything about this story is peak 2000's. I love it.

Because my TJ’s, with it’s impossibly small parking lot and weird location, is a hell of a lot harder to access than the gas station. And Target. And every other store.
Now that I think about it, I might be in the same boat as you. But, I believe I’ve purchased the Sega Genesis collection now for at least two other systems, so at least I have that! :)
This is a great article! I’ve always thought PSIV was the definition of a PERFECT sequel. While it’s a fine stand-alone game, the amount of nods and winks to all the previous games made it absolute perfection for longtime fans. I remember losing my damn mind when the Air Castle music hit.
Great piece! I finally did a full play through of Zelda II a few years back, and decided to do it without a strategy guide. Well, that was the goal. I ultimately caved about 3/4ths of the way in - the clues are there, but they are definitely Castlevania II-vague, and after a few hours of aimless wandering, I needed…
I agree with this 100%. The music and the various channels on the Wii were so great. After a long Twilight Princess or Mario Galaxy session, it was great to pull up the Weather app and check temperatures all over the globe, while the most relaxing music ever played. I miss that so much.
Me too. Also, let me fire up that Gamecube controller adapter too for it.
Came here for this, was not disappointed.
I didn’t like the We <3 Katamari soundtrack as much as the first, but this was definitely the stand out song!
I love both of these games so much, but looking back on it, I think I prefer the original to We <3 Katamari. I guess I wasn’t as fond of the levels with weird goals, and the soundtrack didn’t have quite the same flair. But it’s still an AMAZING game, and the final level where you could roll up the King was amazing.
Mike, thanks for the post. I’ve been thinking a lot lately about how I’d like to replay THPS4, but had no idea how best to go about doing it these days. Definitely will be looking into this.
Our drinking game was Chu Chu Rocket. I don’t remember what the rules were, but it probably didn’t end well.
Fuck yeah, Pilotwings. The plane stage in Smash Wii U was awesome, too, and I changed the music settings so that the original plane stage song would come on 100% of the time.
I don’t trust anyone with finely manicured goatees.
I agree with this. While early voting is awesome and vote-by-mail sounds like a fine idea (anything to encourage more people to participate), there’s something exciting and fun about going to the polls on election day.
Agreed all around. The absurdness of it all is what makes Smash fun. It’s also why I was kinda hoping the leak would be real, because holy fuck, Mach Rider was so random and would have been incredible.
Jesus, this makes Whitlock look like the normal one.
Just when I thought it was safe to Internet again...
To the pit of despair with it!
I’ve been looking at this picture for weeks now and still can’t figure out what’s up with Gruden’s teeth.
