The best part was the newspaper you’d get at Funco that had all the prices in it. I highlighted ALL the games I wanted, and gave the list to my parents. Good times. :)

Oh gosh, I missed this commercial. It's right up there with the Bomberman 64 commercial that riffed on the Spiderman theme. Man, this was a great era for video game advertising.

There's no shame in this, friend. Last summer, I was on a bike ride and ended up at a local state park to refill my water bottle. Next to the main building was an open dumpster, and I couldn't help but notice an N64 sitting nicely on top. I actually didn't take the console, since I have one at home, and didn't have a

Please keep articles like this coming, Patricia. This is why many of us come to Kotaku - to read about aspects of gaming culture that are under-reported on, or things that we are not aware of.

Underrated comment of the month.

All I wanted was a 5 star tower. All my residents wanted was to move out of my tower every few weeks, putting me in massive debt.

I want to love X-2, but I've never seen a game that so actively tries to punish its players who are trying to enjoy it.

Agreed with you 100%. I try and replay LA at least once a year - everything about it so memorable. Roc's feather + Pegasus Boots is just the best combination ever.

I tried re-playing it when the remaster came out earlier this year. I specifically did not play X ahead of time, so I could try and go in with a fresh set of eyes. Same result as the previous four times I've started the game...I get to about Chapter 3, and then completely lose interest. The story never really

I want to take one more shot at building a tower where everyone doesn't move out in the middle of the friggin' night. IS THAT SO MUCH TO ASK???

Suikoden IV was my intro to the series. I didn't know anything about Suikoden, but saw the game and thought, 'OOOOOOH SHIPS AND WATER RPG, SOLD." I remember not hating the game, but not finishing it, either. Just left me with a big, ol' feeling of 'meh.'

Love them. Everything feels tighter than I remember, but maybe that's because I beat the heck out of my old GC controllers playing Melee, and then Brawl. I'd love see them come in more colors. An Indigo flashback would be an instabuy for me!

I found this out the hard way yesterday. I didn't pre-order the Smash bundle, thinking "Oh, I'll just pick it up on release day, shouldn't be a big deal." WRONG. All the Gamestops/Walmarts/Best Buys in my city sold out almost immediately. Luckily, a Gamestop about 40 miles away somehow still had a bundle in

Oh, the memories. And dat Sierra start-up noise. Thanks for sharing. :)

I definitely had the space one. Moon base, or something, right? Man, I played the hell out of that game when I was younger. Thanks for the flashback!

Now that the temperature is getting colder, and I'll be spending more time inside, I think it's finally time to give Ni No Kuni a playthrough. I've heard a million good things about it, and can't wait to finally dig my teeth into it. I haven't played a great JRPG in a while, and have missed it so.

I personally love the heck out of it, but as always, your mileage may vary. I will say that if story is important to you, you could do a lot worse than FFXIV. For a MMO, the story is actually pretty good. If you're a fan of the genre, I'd say definitely give it a shot.

Looks like he's coming under an Avalanche of criticism.

I'm not a huge Lebowski fan, but gosh, this table looks amazing. Though I'd be surprised to see one around here any time soon.
