There’s a large chunk of users who are everything else than a pro and like to buy things with Pro in the name purely because it, well, sounds more “pro” =) totally understandable.

Yeah, sure, the WiiU’s reveal was handled extremely badly, i could have told them before how hard it would tank.

First on what Steam could do:

I still like Steam, because it is far more open to Indies than the consoles while still not as F*ed up as the mobile app stores and various other outlets-but yeah, obviously it has come to a flood level where things have to be changed a bunch to make it a nicer and more sustainable and enjoyable place again.

I agree with your assessment of the iOS App Store and Apple.

Not sure what you mean regarding Google and Activision Blizzard as examples for this.

thanks =)

Not sure what makes you think that would bring something positive (i’d like to know though).

The talk about Apple’s app store wasn’t the entirety of my post, i also talked about other things. I also don’t think Apple sucks entirely, i don’t like their current mac lineup, but type this on the 2015 model Macbook Pro which i quite liked, the world isn’t just black and white =)

I thought about the topic some more and meanwhile think it could be good if Valve started with fees around like this:

yes, they do rush into some things, but on the other side they also try to constantly improve things, so that’s a lot more than i can see from some of the others.

Well, my comment was regarding whether the review system is better on another platform.

Yes, i am a programmer, and regarding my writing, well, English isn’t my first language, so, sorry if you have any issues with it.

Well, as poor Indie i would find a sum good i could afford, while it should ideally already high enough that it cuts down the most throwaway flood submissions.

More than 80% of things released on Steam in total were released in the last 3 years. So that should put it into perspective.

Those negative guys you talk about have to pay monthly living cost expenses bills, too (electricity, rent etc) and they have to pay the 30% cut to Valve, too. They likely also have to buy hardware and/or software.

well, we should make up our minds =) on one side we yell we want Valve to make more games (again) (which by itself i always thought was weird since they actually have many games they very actively support and very regularly update).

yeah, no, for greenlight it was a one time forever fee to be allowed to submit as many titles as one wanted. One still had to pay 30% revenue cut like on other store fronts but yeah, no title submission fee or anything like that besides the one time fee for all titles.

First: those always complaining no matter what is done should keep in mind: This is actually a tough problem and no one has cracked it perfectly yet, rather the opposite, anywhere i look around the others are doing a worse job on most ends compared to Valve. (Valve is far from perfect but at least i see them trying ti

No, to make 500 per game, for a game selling at $5 one usually has to sell way more than 100 copies. For example:
