yeah, this is totally a thing i’ve always hated in games, when it looks like one should totally be able to walk there but it’s not possible.

I’m a game developer myself, so i totally understand that any self respecting game dev usually has (very) high aspirations for what one works on and also that game development is a process and things change during it.
yeah, i got a very strong vibe of that, too
While technically well done, i felt like the monster was the weakest part in the series.
Yes, i would love it if they release this in Europe, too, but also in XXL version, not just in small version.
The device was called Super Nintendo/SNES in Europe, too, like in the US, but looked like this japenese super famicom, too.
No, they are not. These issues on the pc version right now are unfortunate, but overall, most of the games they put out get pretty good ratings and are well liked by many, including me. Yeah, they could be a bit more experimental/daring to enhance their formula some more, but that doesn’t change the part that many of…
and with that reality just entered the uncanny valley
Seems to me like they are interested but very cautious after what happened regarding that to them last time when they had half baked hardware and will hence likely not release something until a few more things are a bit further there.
I have a 980 Ti and i can play all current VR games fine, too, but not all at 90 fps in highest settings in VR anymore. For some i already have to lower the settings a bit to have them run at 90 fps in VR.
Right now, if money isn’t a huge object, i’d go with the 1080 (else a 1060 is all right, too, which is largely on 980 Ti level of general performance but also supports simultaneous multi projection which the 980 Ti doesn’t). If money is absolutely no object at all, sure, then you can go with the 1080 Ti, but that’s…
I have a 980 Ti and it’s still all right (pretty good) for most games in middle to high settings still when played in “low” res like 1080 but once playing VR stuff, it is already not running ideally anymore for many things with more involved graphics. Still was playable for me in all cases, but once the VR stuff kicks…
Overall a good summary despite the headline does not fit. The series has a lot of substance, it’s just that yes, a lot of it is a bit like a melange of things from the past, but very well done and brought together to form something own unique feeling and great, so i quite liked it.
No, i’m not implying video game characters have actual agency (not yet for another few years)
Me personally, i don’t mind if women in games are big or small breasted. I get my erotic thrills in other ways so i play games for the gameplay, story or experience , it’s not important to me if characters have big or small breasts. I also don’t mind if male characters have huge muscles or not.
Somewhere in over stiff land Anita is gonna be mad about this.
ok, sounds more like you’re looking for a good excuse to reduce gaming time in general then =)
Yeah, i understand your worries, but as i said, there’s no need for them, our games played on a regular screen will exist onwards, there will just also be different types of things for people wanting to play VR stuff =)
Yeah, the 1070 and 1080 were to be expected for a while, but how quickly Nvidia is releasing the 1060 surprised me a bit, too =)
yeah, cool =) and yup, over time as VR devs and engine makers figure out more optimizations for VR rendering, some things will require a bit less hardware oomph =)
