yeah, i didn’t mean to debate to try to convince anyone, if trying it properly doesn’t, then not sure what would, it just surprised me to hear that stance because i let lots of people try VR stuff and so far everyone who tried it, even the biggest skeptic up front, afterwards was quite impressed and all want to buy it

Ay, haha, ok, yeah, then it’s a very big leap for you in either case =) Yeah, my previous windows desktop tower had a gtx460 or something like that, i really hadn’t paid much attention to it for a few years since it was still ok for playing most games at sorta medium settings.

Regarding the motion control: as i said, there are also many VR games which one can just play with a regular joypad, VR doesn’t automatically mean one has to play with motion controls, it just means that there are some experiences making use of that and that can greatly enhance the experience.

Bummer. Could you maybe sell some other old gear? I sold a bunch of my older stuff to finance buying my new rig.

ok, then you’re now officially the first person i hear of who has tried VR stuff and afterwards still didn’t get what the appeal was about =)

Sorry, i find that rather hard to believe that you tried the vive with a good game made for it and didn’t get in the slightest why people are hyped about it.

They represent a big leap, they are much more power efficient at higher performance. And for VR things like single pass rendering/simultaneous multi projection can make a very big fps difference.

best sell it right now if you can.

I wouldn’t call it a disaster. Sure, it sucks when one wants to buy something and it’s not in stock for a good while, but in this case i find it reasonable, because there’s been so much media buzz on the new cards making up a big generational leap, while at the same time also many gamers considering buying new

I bought a comp with a 980 TI not too long ago, fully well aware of what is coming out, but i did so intentionally because i needed a rig for developing VR content right that moment and i intentionally wanted to buy one which will be like the lower end very soon (so i don’t just optimize for people having the best

Yes, older cards will become WAY cheaper once the 1060,1070 and 1080 (and also the new AMD ones) are available broadly for a few months.

Good to hear it’s solid, i’ll definitively give this a try once i’m done with my current own game =)

No, what i said was not wrong, i said Unity has a free option where one does not have to pay a revenue share.

Unreal could run on WiiU with some features scaled down, since, well, it runs on mobile in such way, it was just not officially supported since they saw the market as too small (some developers worked on making it go for their specific games: https://www.engadget.com/2015/06/11/unr… ), but yeah, sure, would be cool if

No, that’s not true. Unity has a free option, too, and unlike Unreal that is actually free, as in no royalties asked for, whereas for Unreal once passing $3k revenue one has to pay 5% to them.

Why when the job post also lists Unity and Cocos2D-x does the headline only list Unreal Engine?Yes,a headline has to be short, but doesn’t make much sense to mention one and not the other two in the headline then.

I find it interesting/weird/funny/curious how much self hatred many of us gamers seem to have and how bad we see our own past time.

Don’t get me wrong, i totally support putting something out in earlier dev stages where one could then still react to the feedback and implement changes/additions etc where it makes sense for the launch version. But that then to me would be an alpha/beta or early access build. Which i all support and will do one very

That is a great demo and yes, a very cool case where you provided great feedback and it was implemented into the game. And thanks for that to you =) The thing is: that is super mega rare that that can/does happen and at the same time could not happen for/with the full game and at the same time the devs still would

I dislike refunds for media, other than when they are in the 30-60 minutes range. Because honestly, where else other than by free to play/advertising model financed media can one experience a game/show for longer than an hour and get a full refund?
