I’ll say we were not going as fast as many people on here think. Basically what we do here is get up to speed and go hard rudder until the ship turns about 90° then we let the ship settle then go the opposite direction. We do this for about an hour or so. I have failed at Jaloping. My wife and I’s Passat only had 117k on it when it flooded last fall. The JCW had 85k when we sold it, and my ‘06 Mustang GT had 65k. You get the idea.
A good analogy is Okinawa is to Japan as Hawaii is to the US. Both have very distinct cultures they separate themselves from the “mainland.”
They are a very introverted people and honestly they’re on an island which affords them the opportunity to “be left alone,” for lack of a better term. However, they are terrific hosts and extremely friendly people when you get to know them.
