This was filed end of day Friday, and after playing 10-15 more hours of Final Fantasy XVI over the weekend I’m more convinced than ever that:

1.) Purely on a vibes basis it’s the most FF-feeling FF since FFIX. There’s just so many old-school callbacks.

So what I am getting is that they made a bunch of business plans around this mystery $2B deal and put those plans in motion (including the spending) before that deal was final. The deal fell apart and now they are screwed and having to do massive restructuring to avoid bankruptcy. Is that about the sum of it??

So what? If you want to go after an actor for saying yes to anything & everything, Nic Cage is right there.

Every actor has worked on bad movies at some point in their career.

Proud Marvel movie hater writes news post about Marvel movies, makes sure to note that they’re a proud Marvel movie hater. Oooookaaaaaaay.

They’re gonna put him in the classic costume, aren't they? It’s gonna be the worst thing ever. And, somehow, it’s also gonna be the best thing ever.

If I have one complaint about these two episodes, it’s that they feel like set up for more substantial episodes later in the season. But the way these characters are spinning out from the violence Barry introduced into their lives is riveting.

Same!  I love this show, but as I watch, it definitely seems like Hader is working through...something.

The untold story of how Cousineau went from dapper and put together to a sweaty pot-bellied mess in the course of his stage performance is the subtle hero of the premiere

That scene was amazing. I had the stupidest grin on my face the entire time.

That walking in circles was great. Loved when NoHo had to run back to get into position. Who was NoHo texting? Fuches?

There’s also a second episode!

Amazing start to what will hopefully be a brilliant season. Although I do have to wonder if Bill Hader is okay sometimes.

I’m really enjoying Bo Katan’s greater focus in this season. The show is called “The Mandalorian,” not “Din Djarin.” No reason they can’t switch up who the Mandalorian is from time to time.

Personally, I’ve never understood the accusations about this season. So it has episodic stories with different tones, you mean like...a TV show? Which it’s always done since the first season? It’s very reminiscent of the people who accuse the MCU of being “too fun,” and I’d guess there’s a sizable overlap. And for all

I don’t know about you, but I appreciate when a review lets me know not to take it seriously really early on like that.

And him basically pulling one over on Avasarala in the pursuit of doing what is right is like how the show fucking ends things. Do these people even watch the shit they reference? That show opened with her illegally torturing someone.

yeah.  as much as i love her on the show, this is the correct take

Huh. I had no idea that “The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent” was abysmal. You’d think I would have noticed that when I watched it.
