as if cops themselves don’t love methamphetamine and not showing up when called? I unironically would love a tighter community where you can call members of it for help when you need it instead of some overarmed C-student from the suburbs who doesn’t care at best, and wants us all to die at worst. at least crackheads

Many factories already use highly specialized and articulated robots in their automation systems and would have no use for a humanoid version.

I’m pretty sure Musk no longer has the slightest idea what either of those things mean anymore, but I’d love to hear him try and define them!

Elon Musk’s Three Rules of Robotics:

All robots are pre-programmed scripts. They can’t even preprogram Optimus. And Atlas doesn’t need preprogramming to work. It can do the same tasks with a controller.

If I was interested in people thinking I am very cool and smart. I would have just. Not shown people my robot until I had something cool to show.

Yes, but can Disney’s creation stagger slowly and perilously forward at the lightning speed of one mile per week??

Still more likely to pass for human than Elon.

Honda has had a fully functional humanoid robot since the year of our lord 2000.

Unless it turns out it’s their daughter or wife or mistress and then a very special exception is allowed.

The media has already been lead down this path because there’s always “more important” news to cover. When they do cover it, they always need to be fair and balanced and bring in some mouth breather to spew lies about abortion.

Why does no one seem to being every argument about abortion with the simple fact that it’s mostly not used as contraception.

I’d move to that alternate universe since this one is on a fixed path to police state fascism.

Monolith shmonolith, we go where we want.

“This money would be better spent on compliance assistance instead of targeting employers based on ambiguous standards,” said Rep. Virginia Foxx (R-N.C).’
I mean, assuming I understand his point, no it isn’t. The only way that would be true if we assumed that insurance providers would change without either being

gotta love that he took one of the statistically safest jobs in the country (police officer) and went and called it a dangerous job.  And stated, without citation that male and female officers make the same.  Which, as the DOL says, is patently false.

AZ resident here....

Uh...isn’t that the exact problem with part of the gender pay gap though? We’re socialized to see women’s work as worth less. I guess you can just label it however you want, i.e., more dangerous. It feels like this guy thinks the only jobs are nurses, firemen, teacher, lawyer, doctor, cop, scientist, veterinarian,
