You hope? Oh, well, then I’m sure it’s all settled, then. Fools...

Anyone who was in the experimental side of psychology in grad school probably has plenty of stories they could tell you about the clinical students. In short, they’re typically not into the research side of things, like at all. The expectations for clinical students when it comes to science are also verrry low. The

Good choices! I would also recommend The Company of Wolves.

If you don’t think the endless articles on Jezebel, for just one example, about this film and the people involved in it aren’t a form of marketing, I’m not sure what to tell you. It may as well have been Blue Ant running the campaign.

And now he’s just a... Dead Kennedy.

I read that and was like “damn... that’s one hell of a Freudian slip.”

I was gonna say, though in a different way. There’s always something about a sociopath - you can see it in the eyes. The face can be smiling, but the eyes are just not on the same page.

Exactly. And I think it’s important to note that this is being facilitated by the same “mainstream media” that republicans love to demonize. When the fascists take over, the media in general will have a lot to answer for (although I probably won’t be around by that time - anarchists and socialists are always some of

Holy shit. You were not kidding... I think my computer needs a bath after accessing that site, though...

Seriously? Anne herself called you out on this very site for your bullshit, while remaining a total class-act about it.

It’s one of the Tomato variety of trolls. The clue is in the username.

Kinda depressing, ain’t it?

Whenever leftists accuse the right of being Nazis, one of the deflections they would use against that criticism would be “There aren’t any Nazis anymore.” So then leftists would say “Fine. Neo-Nazis, then.”

Right? You can’t “reform” an institution that specifically attracts and hires people that want to wield power (often of life or death) over others, and then does everything in its power to deny accountability and avoid consequences. It’s like expecting a fascist to act reasonably.

I was gonna say... If you go to the doctor for pain issues nowadays, they automatically assume you’re just a junkie looking for a fix. It’s horrifying and dehumanizing, and I hate and dread every time I have to interact with a doctor because of it. That said, I can’t imagine dealing with the kind of pain you’re

The truth of right-wingers - from the political all the way down to internet posting - is that they have a pathological drive to hurt others. A “liberal” site gives them an endless supply of “victims” to attempt to upset.

Mmmmm-nah. They wouldn’t be republicans if they didn’t have an overwhelming, tribalistic animosity towards outgroups.

Which is so weird because the gop were never shy about it - not in word, nor action. It’s like thinking fascists won’t start ethnic cleansing when they get a hold of power because some of them wear suits and ties.

By far my favorite Doctor. After the whinyness of Tennant, Smith was a breath of fresh air. Or perhaps more like a hurricane. The guy has mad charisma. If Tennant was the Beatles, Smith was fucking ELVIS (except much, much cooler, and apparently a really sweet guy).

It’s not just conservatorships, either. If you say the wrong words to the wrong person at the wrong moment, those words can get you tossed in a psych-ward. Our rights are paper-thin.
