But on the flipside, ask yourself this: how stupid/evil/batshit crazy would a Democratic candidate for office have to be for you to refuse to vote for them, bearing in mind that liberals everywhere will equate your refusal to vote for the Democrat with a voting for the Republican?

he’s the fucking Attorney General of one of the largest states in the country—did he think he could dodge the process server forever? Give me a fucking break.

But those who knew her best said that even as a child, she also wanted to work in law enforcement, so much so that it was at a Stoughton Police Department youth program that Birchmore—who never knew her father and lost her mother, grandmother and aunt during a three year time period—first met the then-27-year-old

“Farwell’s friends told the Globe that he began having sex with the girl when she was 15—statutory rape under Massachusetts law.”

The nice way to put it is cognitive dissonance. I think they’re just cruel idiots.

Maybe so, maybe not, but one of the defining features of fascism has never been “giving up power willingly.”

Don’t forget! Girl Bosses support Girl Bosses

I’m honestly glad that Boebert, Cruz, etc. are finally acknowledging that fascism is right-wing, at least.

But here’s the thing: A startup that doesn’t have their shit together dies. And most startups wind up failing. So an established company saying “we run like a startup” like that's a flex is a pretty bad sign.

That would be okay if Sundar started Google - but he didn’t.  He’s obviously a smart guy, but this was a ridiculous statement by a man who benefited from those who did.

The final straw for me at my current job was after my COLA yet again did not cover any of my bills after 2 years of record profits and “we just need to steer ourselves out of the pandemic, and then the profit sharing is coming”.

The Google chief did not respond to employee questions about whether the company would cut executive compensation.

A business really has to nickle and dime ordinary employees on things like holiday parties so they’ll have more in the bank for executive compensation, especially given Google’s established tradition of giving huge exit packages to executives credibly accused of sexual harassment. It’s just math, people.

No, no need to thank the exploiters — just treat the whole thing like the business transaction that it is.

“In response, the Google chief said the company was simply “being a bit more responsible” amid one of the toughest macroeconomic situations of the past decade.”

Startup hop. I’ve been doing this for years after realizing every big tech company burns you out after a couple years. May as well spend those two years at a place that offers better benefits and perks to attract and keep workers.

Reminds me of a boss I used to have who was all like,

Yeah. I’ve learned over the last year “We like to run like a startup” just means “we don’t have our shit together and we do not plan on getting it together any time soon”

So, Sundar is taking huge pay cuts and liquidating his stocks, right? I mean, if *THEY* don’t ‘need’ their money, then he sure as hell doesn’t. I mean, he’s not a *HYPOCRITE* right??

Pro tip: those perks are never coming back. It’s been a great run and people who were there to enjoy it should be thankful for that.
