The rise of UFO “culture” has been tied to a decline in supernaturalism, and we know how rife that culture is with conspiracy theories. I’m sure there’s a connection there, but there are probably a number of factors that are involved and modulate one another.

I was just sort of getting at this above. Conservative “humor” is pretty much always about being offensive, almost always punching down. Because that’s what they find funny.

This is one of those cases where the point of the joke is not to make you laugh at it’s cleverness, but to offend. 

Yeah, it’s one thing to not know something. Basic ignorance is forgivable and can be corrected. Willful-ignorance and making bold assertions about that which you are completely ignorant of is a cardinal sin in my book.

I disagree about Sr. Jr, however, not only doubles-down on his father’s stupidity, but he’ll double-down (or even triple, quadruple, etc.) on his own stupidity. He’s so cocky and smug and can’t see what an idiot he’s making of himself.

Trump is a black hole of stupidity, and he’s dragging the collective intelligence of the entire country down with him.

Hunter knew what was up. My incident came as the result of a 911 call (not by me). There were cops, paramedics, and at least one cop posing as a paramedic trying to get me to go along “voluntarily”. I told them multiple times that I was fine and didn’t want/need to go.

His stance on net-neutrality is rather perplexing, given California is trying to pass its own net-neutrality bill (and that Feinstein signed a letter in support of net-neutrality).
