It’s not irrational. My property is my property and if you don’t like it then you should buy it from me.

I figured out my full size bronco would stay dry without the top as long as I maintained a speed above about 90mph. Just another reason to abolish speed limits!

Jeff Gordon’s first NASCAR victory was very similar IIRC. Not bad company.

Guess I should go play the lottery then? My EJ25D is at 160k with original internals (all gaskets have been replaced at least once)

Or smaller north American companies... Also note that the article is about emissions regs not safety regs. But any government regulation will usually benefit large established corporations and prevent small start ups from entering the market segment.

Do you have sources handy? This falls right in line with some research I’m doing.

UGH. Why does everything always have to be about HIS story!? Get with the times, man!

There are already laws for those things. The inspection is just a way for the govt to grab extra authority and tax $. (Case in point: they already did away with the physical sticker 2 years ago but we still pay the same price for an inspection.)

You obviously don’t drive in Texas. The number of cars on the road with unlicensed, uninsured drivers is so great that many PDs have stopped towing the cars. I’d be willing to bet the number of inspections and registrations have probably also dropped since that got rid of the inspection sticker last year.
